By S. D.February 20, 2019Drywall first floor$2,500
I would not recommend this contractor - he began asking for more $ the day he started working. He did not work a full day, always left a mess, and was taking pictures around my house without my knowledge or consent. He did horrible work and now is harassing me, he wants paid for a completed drywall job when it's not even halfway done. Beware!!
Response from RCDM Contracting March 25, 2019Sandy hired us to hang and finish drywall in her downstairs are of her home. When we first entered the home we were overwhelmed with cat urine and fesces smell which we quickly noticed was all over the floor. The work started 2 weeks before Christmas and what Sandy doesn't mention is she asked us to leave early due to having family over for the holidays. When I did the initial walk-through I asked Sandy who would be putting the nailers on the wall for the ceiling drywall she said her and her son would do it to save money, the day we got there it wasn't done she asked us to do it and she would pay us she told us to bill her we did we put all the nailers on around the kitchen the living room in the dining room it came out to an hourly wage for four people to do that close to $300. Sandys son let it slip she had two previous contractors in the house to do work which Sandy kicked off the job before paying them, that sent a red flag up so I asked Sandy to be paid for the woodwork that we already completed which she was supposed to complete and never did that's when it all started that's when she wouldn't answer my text and was telling me that the bank was taking a long time to put the money in her account from her own bank which usually takes a day or two at the most. I knew then that it was going to turn into a situation. We arrived one day to work and I pulled my tools out from underneath the stairs and they were wet the cats had sprayed on my tools I asked Sandy about this if we could have another place to put our tools and she told me I had to deal with it, now she has nine cats in that house and they go to the bathroom anywhere urinating and defecating all over the home. Sandy was just trying to get work done from different contractors for free she would pay the initial down payment and then find a reason to kick them off the job I was the third one in that home to do work I did not know about the previous contractors until her son mentioned it. Sandy is going to court over this April 16th at the magistrates. there was nothing but praise from Sandy for our work she loved every bit of it until I wanted paid for the woodwork that we had already completed. She would ask me to do things and just bill her. Once I asked for the woodwork payment I never heard from her again. We do professional work and all work is to code and we've never had an issue until we met Sandy Davenport. I also have pictures of the work in the home (this is what she was talking about when she said I was taking pictures it was of our work and all the feces and wet urination spots on the floor that we had to work around.)

RCDM Contracting provided an estimate to place a window in our basement. We accepted the offer and paid 1/2 of the project cost as a deposit in mid July 2019. RCDM suggested one date to place the window which was not a day we could have the work done. I reached out through email, Facebook, and phone calls. He stopped replying a month ago. Even once answered the phone and put my husband on hold when my husband identified himself, never returned to the call, and never called us back. We have asked (through email and Facebook messaging) to be contacted about having our deposit returned. RCDM Contracting has not contacted us in any manner. I have NEVER had a contractor take a deposit and then not do the work. He has ghosted us.
