By Jean H.July 16, 2016Home addition, new kitchen, hill remval with retaining wall, move a shed.$42,00060 daysVerified Hire
Showed up with no crew and spent a day on the phone trying to hire people, unvetted crew and first ones quit after a week. No projects on this build were finished except the roof and floor which subcontractors did and the floor installation we ended up paying for. Shoddy work, where walls and ceiling meet lots of waves and not straight lines, trash left all over which we cleaned up and took to the dump at our cost, deck not finished and bad cuts that don't fit together, dirt work not finished, *retaining wall that isn't* which he claimed would work well is stuffing down to the house and the grade is sloping to the house, window installed crooked and upside down, door not installed properly, people quitting, hiring inexperienced people that made mistakes some of which have not been fixed. Much much more as well. been very busy trying to fix issues that are the result of walls and joists not lining up properly and buying material to finish all the interior and exterior additions. Wish I had looked into this one a lot more closely. Unpaid subcontractors as well that we are doing right by and paying ourselves. Now having to have an engineer out to inspect the property, then a home inspector to document issues and all the unfinished work. Engineer (thankfully) found foundation meets bare minimum requirements and floor is level. Grading outside was a huge fail.
Update: He quit by text and abandoned the unfinished job on 7-16-16. 2 months since start of work

Mr. Wehrli did an amazing job and went above and beyond of what we expected. While our home project may not have been a large job compared to what he normally does ($4700) He did a great job working with us as we had a short suspense to leave Alaska and the Eagle River area. We would gladly recommend him to anyone in need of home repairs/work.

I have contracted the services of Mr. Wehrli on three separate home repair and improvement projects over the last 10 years. While his prices were not always the lowest, the work I received from him and his associates always met and many time exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend RCI Services to anyone needing such services.

About 3 years ago I wanted to sell my rental home up in Fairbanks that needed an extensive amount of work but my experience with several of the local handymen did not work out so well. My friends told me about Mr. Wehrli who done a great job on their home in Anchorage and that I should call him and ask if he had any suggestions. In talking with Mr. Wehrli, he was looking to travel to Fairbanks in the following weeks to visit friends and requested I take and send him pictures of the areas around my rental needing work. Mr. Wehrli replied with ways to make the repairs and a price that was a bit more than others but still within my reach. Mr. Wehrli arrived pulling a tool trailer and with an inferred camera, showed me where the drafty areas of my home were. Mr. Wehrli did wonderful work to replace several windows and doors, the rotted floor under the sink, the plumbing fixtures, sheetrock damage and replace lighting fixtures. Through the inferred camera, Mr. Wehrli showed me the same area after the work and I was very impressed. I sold the home to the neighbors whom I talked to a couple days ago and they are still happy with their purchase. My sincere appreciation and thanks to you Mr. Wehrli and have you interest in remodeling my home in Cabo?
