Unfortunately I don't think I can give them an "A" rating with flying colors. While the finished project is very nice, it was a struggle from beginning to end. We were initially told the project would take 10-11 days. It took 1 day short of 6 weeks. One of the first issues was that their carpenter did not read the order correctly and prepared the shower pan for a step in shower when it was supposed to be no entry. That took another 3-4 days to undo all of that and redo it the correct way and had to have the inspector come out twice. The carpenter was very "testy" and was not patient at all with all the things that came up with pipes. After all this house was built in 1942. And we were not surprised by that, just surprised at the attitude and additional cost. When the original salesman came out we were encouraged and that's why we went ahead with it. Then he had his car broken into and we never saw him again and it was obvious that he did not convey everything to the next group of workers. While we were disappointed to find out that the salesman felt that the configuration of our bathroom could not be changed due to space and code regulations we opted to have the tub taken out and go with a walk-in shower. Choosing the materials is where it gets expensive but we decided to get something nice and durable. We had been wanting to redo the bathroom for a long time and had purchased the sink/vanity, toilet and medicine cabinet already. The salesman told us we could use those and he measured to make sure. Once the carpenter was here he sent me back to exchange the mirror 3 times and then just gave up and said he couldn't make it fit so the project manager and someone else had to come out and figure out what to do. We were continually told that the it was a small space and they only had sixteenths of an inch to work with. I kept wondering how that could be my problem when I hired them as experts. We chose Carera Marble because I have a marble counter and hall tree in the dining room just off the bathroom. The workers complained constantly about how difficult it is to cut and install. The finished product is beautiful however in a very short amount of time there was some discoloration forming in the marble. I emailed them and included a picture. I received a call back from the project manager who said he would get back to me after talking to the tile experts. While vague, it sounded encouraging. After almost a week, another gentleman called and said that because he saw a bottle of baby oil in the picture he feels that is what caused the discoloration because, "after all, marble is a natural stone." He gave me a website to go to for ideas on how to clear it up and suggested a process of using Palmolive dish soap and saran up and the bottom line was that it was expensive and they were not responsible. I was completely dumbfounded. I have since talked to a contractor who said that it should not have done that. After all Carera Marble is used in kitchens and you know you are going to have to use cleaners on it.
Their timelines were always way off and they would only send workers out here if it was on the way to or from another job so as to make it cost effective. Receiving updates and information was very difficult and return calls and emails took several days.
I believe their workmanship was good as we had our contractor friend come in and take a look when at the very beginning there was some framing and pipes that needed replacing but getting the job down was like pulling teeth. We had to finally get the owner, Peter Schicker involved and we were compensated $500 for the error in the shower pan and he "threw" in an additional corner shelf that they were going to charge us $575.00 for.
We expected that there would be some pipe issues and were fine with that delay however they charged us an entire day for that and then part of another day while the carpenter had to drive to Concord to get a snake.
I'm afraid I would not recommend them and I honestly feel bad about it because if you were to look at our bathroom I'm sure you would be impressed except for the discoloration on the tile wall. We were knew it was going to be difficult and an inconvenience but almost 6 weeks was beyond ridiculous.

We looked around before we signed with REBATH. I liked the idea that they had their own workmen and were not hiring Subs. We worked with the design folks to get the type of tile and sizes we wanted, they were very helpful in that phase of the process. We were pleased with the cost of the remodel before we signed the contract. And the price they gave us was very competitive.
The same crew of men came out everyday to do the work at our home--so if there were any requests, questions or directives that I needed to pass on---it was to the same folks that did the work the days before. They were easy to work with, they took good care in completing the work to our satisfaction. If there was anything, they were off a couple of days on their estimate of how long the work would take, but when they left our home for the last time, everything was completed to our satisfaction. I would recommend them, myself.

I was certain we could expand our downstairs bathroom by utilizing space under the stairwell. I was the one that had to do the convincing and present answers to get it done. Overall their work was very good, and I am very satisfied with the results. However I believe they are way too expensive especially since I did much of the work myself. If you have the money to spend go for it. But I would recommend shopping around.
