Redline Plumbing receives a very bad review from me. In July 2018 during a conversion from Propane to Natural Gas, for lack of a simple five dollar part Redline did not order on time; even though the job was scheduled in April of 2018 my home was without hot water for over 10 days.
Unknown to me at the time Redline did not use the correct connectors and couplers when hooking up the natural gas to the house. Now in Oct of 2018 due to their very terrible workmanship and installation of a coupler that was not approved by the Gas company, there was a very large leak!
The Gas company had to come out on an emergency basis. They had to disconnect the meter, open up the ground and allow the gas to dissipate safely and shut down all the work done by Redline. The entire job done by Redline has to be completely redone and redone correctly! It is a miracle the gas leak did not catch a spark and become volatile and have an explosion.
I strongly recommend anyone thinking about using Redline for their plumbing needs to use another company. Their quality of work is terrible. The company cannot be trusted to do the work correctly and safely. This is the worst plumbing company ever!Response from Redline Mechanical LLC November 6, 2018Dr. Pregont – First and foremost, I want you to know that Redline Mechanical LLC have always stood behind all our work as well as our service. Our companies combined have plumbed over 40,000 homes since 1989 and we have won countless awards for not only our workmanship but the service we provided to homeowners and builders over the years. To respond to your points in the complaint regarding the gas line: 1) Anything Redline Mechanical plumbs must have a third-party inspection, this means the gas line we installed had to be put on test for an inspector to inspect and either pass or fail. The inspector passed our inspection (PASS 4012 Gas Piping System Final (240487) Result by: james otero on 07/16/2018 at 07:21 AM) meaning our work was done accurately and per state code. 2) Redline Mechanical does not install gas meters, this is installed by the gas company, again after the inspection is obtained. Furthermore, this is the same gas company who installed your gas meter that is now stating it was a “terrible installation”. Its rather intriguing that the gas company who was there last and installed a meter is now saying the inspector and our company is at fault; my question to the gas company would be, why, if they were the last ones to touch it, why would they leave a leak so bad as you described in your complaint. They as well as Redline Mechanical are held to a higher standard and they too, should have checked their work for any signs of leaks, if it was indeed leaking at the time of the meter installation – it would be the gas company at fault. 3) I may be wrong, but once the inspector passed our gas inspection, which was on test and holding pressure, and then the gas company installed the meter per the inspection – it only leaves me to believe someone hit your gas line after the install, leaving Redline Mechanical not at fault. 4) I will be happy to contact the inspection agency and have them give you a call if you deem necessary. 5) I would also be happy to talk to the same gas company which was the last person to touch our line as they installed their meter and ask them why they did not test their own work as we have to ourselves. I would also like to point out that you stated that the part needed to begin with was at the local hardware store, this part is not readily available, it had to be sent from the manufacturer of the water heater. Again, we forfeited the bill and gave you this work done for free for the inconveniences caused. Also, our company was going to hold off on the gas yard line install until the part arrived, although, Gary, your husband stated to go ahead and move forward as you still owned the home across the street and could use the hot water and facilities there. I see you have also left multiple bad reviews which once again, Redline Mechanical feels is not true – since you are also implicating the inspection process. There is no way the line was damaged after we left, unless it was hit by others. Please feel free to contact me and I ask that you please revise your reviews towards our company. Respectfully, Rick Crawford | Vice President -

After 2 1/2 years of having problems with our Rinnai tankless water heater, Brian with Redline Mechanical was able to secure parts (pump, circuit board, etc.) needed to FINALLY resolve our problems. Thank you Brian for a job well done.
