    New Deck and retaining wall.
    $14,000

Guy is the biggest con artist around.. BEWARE!!
John Reichenbach changes names of company to avoid a problem with scamming people. We hired him for a Deck and retaining wall.
He asked for a 50% deposit, which should have been the first sign of trouble.
After taking the deposit, we was unreachable by phone and texting was at a minimum.
Claimed to have family issues, promised a start date. Okay people have issues, no problem.
Start date came and went. Showed up once (Which MAKES his SCAM NON CRIMINAL !! )
His whole purpose. Again became unreachable. Finally after days of texting and calling.
Shows again for a few hours, (minimum work being done) again unreachable for days.
Then texts, wood for deck is delayed takes 3 weeks to arrive. Fine. Wood finally arrives 5 weeks later.
Promises to start after wood is delivered. Never shows again. Finally we fire him, tell him, Keep the money owed to
Him for the purchase of wood and the time he spend thus far, and return the rest of the deposit. Job was a total of 14K
Deposit was 8K. After firing him he texts us and says he will start the next day. We finally had enough and just asked for the settlement. He promised a settlement, promised he would send money back
(Again making it NON criminal) Now it’s been 4 months, with no work done, no money returned, no contact. He has disappeared.
Now we find out THIS IS HIS MO..and does it to everyone. He has multiple cases in small claims, dodges it all.
Judgments are made, and he STILL doesn’t pay. We have filed complaints with AG. And will now follow steps for Small claims.
Stay Away…!!!! Don’t be his Victim.

    Stay away from this guy!

I'm in the process of suing this contractor for failure to finish my decking and taking over $5,000. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR, I Will post results of my suit and details of his theft by deception after the trial is over.

Hmmm...John Reichenbach Costruction. Same exact thing happened to us. We even have a signed contract.

Took $5000.00 deposit in May 2014. Ripped off our siding, never saw him again. After many, many texts, we got every excuse imaginable under the sun. October 2014 rolls around. Now rain has destroyed the interior, winter around the corner, we had to move on to another contractor who did finish the work.

I trusted the word of someone I thought was a friend. Johns lawyer will not even return my lawyers requests .Now it's March 24th 2015. Still nothing. But I will not give up. My advice to anyone searching for any construction company would be this.
1.Don't use this site, after what John Reichenbach had taken monetarily, psychologically from people, why would Biuldzoom still advertise his business?
    2. Do not take the word of anyone. If I had researched Reichenbachs Company first, I would have not hired him.
    3. Please, take the extra time, do your homework, research ALL aspects of your chosen contractor.

If you follow this advice, you will save your hard-earned dollars, more importantly, your sanity.

    Bathroom
    $2,800
    John Reichenbach Construction

I am here to tell you the above Statement is true. my husband and are hard working people who trusted the recommendation of a friend also a sibling of Johns. We brought John into our home to give us a estimate on our bathroom. Mind you the estimate was for labor basically since my husband and I were going to purchase the Flooring, sink, hardware etc...etc..He gave us what I thought to be a fare price. He gave us a quote of $2800.00 and wanted $1800.00 as a deposit. The only thing he was to purchase was the tub & shower kit, the mold resistant drywall, and trim. Mind you our bathroom is Very small. We gave him $1800.00 cash upon signing a bogus contract. I made it very clear we needed to wait a few weeks before construction was to begin, Due to the fact my husband & I still needed to purchase the sink, flooring, hardware, ect..ect.. when I called him I left a message ( cause he did not answer)to see if the 23rd Of Febuary would be OK as a start date. He did not return my call. So I then text him. In which he then answer ...." yeah that should be OK" that's it not a direct answer, not a start time nothing. I then called him again asking him what the start time would be. .....again no return call. Now I am getting a unsettled feeling so I decided to look him up. The above rating, plus articles on his civil, a & Criminal charges. Allegations of taking money and not showing up for the work or taking money starting Jobs and not finishing them. Now.....I was left with a decision....Do I want to take a chance on letting this person Gutt my Only full bathroom. ( providing he was even planning on doing the work, which based on his indirect answers my instinct tells me he wasn't) well obviously not. So I then text him and was honest with him on my findings and made it very clear I did not want to proceed. Just in case. this was almost 2 1/2 weeks before the uncertain start date. I asked he return my money, he said he would and to make a long story short.I have not received, to this date. Which to me only confirms my suspicions. This man in my opinion took our money blew it and was never planning on doing the Job. If you were smart you would never use this person or recommend him to anyone. My husband & I are left with a loan to pay back and nothing to show for it. Please don't let this happen to you.

I would like to notify the public about this "supposed" contractor. If you like yourself and your friends & family, you will NEVER EVER EVER use this guy. He is a thief and has been charged with producing fake documents, writing bad checks, has had multiple/recent DUIs and has ripped off many, many families in the Lehigh Valley/Allentown/Bethlehem area in PA (Pennsylvania). He just closed out his 2nd case in 10 years with the Attorney General's Office, he is paying restitution to the A.G. and 1 family he ripped off. He is still paying restitution to 2 families on a criminal level---theft by deception. He took their money & never showed up to do the work on their homes. My case was the biggest & the worst. Mr. Reichenbach took $57,000 from us & did about $14,000 worth of work, most of it horrible. I have 100's of pictures to prove it. After years of chasing him in court, I finally got a civil judgment into Lehigh County court, Allentown, PA in September of 2013 for $60,000. I now have to pay another attorney to get my money back. Our suit started out at $175,000 (triple indemnity) & Mr. Reichenbach showed up at a pre-trial conference stating he had no defense, basically admitting he did wrong & I agreed to a civil judgment against him for $60,000. My case had to go civil because this dope did show up & do work, so it could not go criminal. I will not rest until this loser pays me back. If you want to look this guy up on the internet, google The Watchdog from The Morning Call and John Reichenbach. Multiple articles have been written about him. My house was featured in one of the articles, along with a colored picture of the horrible state my house was left in for an entire winter. This contractor used studs from upstairs & propped them up against the outside of my house & we didn't even know if my house was safe structurally by that spring. I didn't have the money to pay an engineer to come out & make that assessment. Please see The Watchdog's (Paul Muschick) blog also, he has a picture of the interior of my house featured. Mr. Reichenbach is one of the coldest, meanest, most deceiving beings I have "ever" dealt with. He knowingly gutted my home, leaving nothing but open studs & windows open & boarded it up without proper insulation on both sides & left us living in 2 rooms for almost 1 year until we found another contractor to properly finish my home & redo much of the work Reichenbach sloppily did the first time. I live here with my little girl, 4 years old & an elderly cat & I have health issues for which I needed multiple surgeries. I also was relocating from Carbon County to Lehigh County & Mr. Reichenbach due to an ugly divorce with a PA State Trooper & Reichenbach knew all of this and he took full advantage of me. He left me with high oil bills that winter, essentially a tiny room to live in, eat in, sleep in & work in & he did not care. I called him repeatedly, left messages & pleaded with him to come & finish my house. He took our money as pre-payment for materials to finish the front of the house and he never returned to do the work. He stated there was snow on the roof so he couldn't add dormers. I have dated photographs proving that there was no snow at that time. He also never filed for permits through my township, I found out he lied & I had to do it myself. I found Reichenbach through Service Magic's website. They are a company I would also NOT recommend anyone to use, they are liars and will list any contractor on their website that pays them money to advertise for them. With all of this said, if anyone out there wants to ruin their life and end of financially destitute as I currently am, go ahead and give John Reichenbach a chance. I am behind the $60,000 civil judgment that exists today and I am speaking out in hopes of helping "anyone" from being put into a situation such as the situation that I am in. In closing, do you know that I currently work 4 part time jobs because I owe this money? Do you know that I have not vacationed with my daughter in the past 3 years because I cannot even afford the gas to get to Stone Harbor, NJ? Do you know that I can't afford to take 1 week off from work because I am afraid my bills won't get paid? I owe so much money to credit cards it nauseates me. I had to pay a second time to finish my house & much of the bill was put on my credit cards & I am paying finance charges to creditors but at least my daughter & I have a beautifully-finished house to live in, thank you Danubio Contracting in Easton, PA---Joe Danubio is awesome!!!! He is the real deal, a true contractor who is GOOD!!!!!!!!! I would like to commend BuildZoom for listening to me when I contacted them. I gave them Reichenbach's background & they urged me to leave a review. I also informed BuildZoom that Mr. Reichenbach lists his BBB rating as A. That is for today, I just contacted them & notified them of the Attorney General's case & they said once they researched it, his rating would change. Mr. Reichenbach had an F rating with the BBB for years but once 3 years go by without a complaint, it jumps back automatically to an A rating. Again, I won't rest until that changes. Also, falsely listed on this website is a BBB "ACCREDITED" rating for Reichenbach Construction. WRONG!!!!!!!! Look it up for yourself, the BBB has Reichenbach Construction listed as a NON-ACCREDITED company. I think I've presented a pretty clear-cut, factual case here, I am the victim of a real dirty player-----JOHN REICHENBACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If anyone wants to contact me, please do, I would love to hear from you: [email protected] Terri Macauley
