    addition/garage conversion

Just finished my house projects with him. I was skeptical about hiring him for the work i needed for my house because of all the reviews, but I am really happy I hired him. I was afraid but he explained to me in detail the bad reviews and showed me evidence of what really happened. He has proof, pictures, agreements, texts, passed inspection cards.,etc. I WOULD COMPLETELY RECOMMEND HIM! From the beginning he guided me on the process to obtain permits for my garage conversion and a pool at my property. He explained to me every step of the construction and answered all of my questions without hesitation. Money wise? BEST DEAL i could find. Saved me alot of money and would always go the extra mile to make me happy. I will keep him for my future projects. I am very happy I asked him about the reviews before jumping into conclusions!

    Kitchen & Laundry Room Renovations

STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!!! I'd give zero stars to this contractor if I could, but it wasn't an option. Backstory: We began kitchen renovations back in February and as of July, we still did not have a finished kitchen. What we did have was an incomplete kitchen constructed of the cheapest of materials with the shoddiest of work---using the most unskilled labor. Instead of hiring professionals to complete the most complicated of work, including fabricating and installing custom cabinets, Rey constantly pulled a, 'bait-and-switch' professing all kinds of falsehoods for why he needed to do the work over the expert craftsmen who know how to do the work properly. Instead of constructing our cabinets in a proper carpenter's mill, Rey tried to build all of them in the backyard-on un-level ground, using only a radial saw. None of the cabinet boxes or doors were subsequently constructed properly. Every time we pointed to errors that needed to be fixed, there was always another band-aid to mask his lack of skills. When we asked why the cabinet doors weren't what they showed in the architects drawings, he responded, "I don't ever look at the drawings." There is literally not one thing I can point to in our kitchen that he did correctly. Not one. Now we have no choice but to be stuck paying tens of thousands more to correct the hack job he did on our house. I guess the CSLB will give anyone a license.

    $110,000

Horrible contractor. We paid 100% of the contract and he delivered 30%. We had to file a complaint with the city. He usually asks for money and states that the city "requires" the changes, but then we see that it is he that does the things erroneously to ask for more money. Please go with somebody else. He abandon our project and when we confronted him, he said that nobody could make him put an extra nail. He even said that if the board of contractors asked him to pay us our money back, he would pay only $100 per month, and he said it with a mocking smile. He is corrupt, and will rip you off. Don't hire him!!!!!
