Renovate Right

Disappointed in the workmanship of my basement remodel. Things not to code, difficult communication, he subcontracted my childhood home to a chop company. I have given Jeff close to 100k for things in my house and condo. I trusted him, he would cold call me to talk to his clients then sends this crew who did not care about the electric wiring, junction boxes and dangerous splices. Roughed out holes in the wall and to top it he didn't care enough for his workers to provide a Porta potty. Instead they urinated on the side of my garage near my fence and a set of tires . Why not ask me if they can use my toilet as well. The painting job is sub par as well. Missing full coats. He made my utility areas impossible to get into for an emergency, they forgot to frame the outside of the basement windows, the crew even critiqued my vinyl siding not knowing they were on camera. I had to get a master electrician in to repair a line cut while they were working which they ignored for 2 weeks before I got someone else in to fix it. They got defensive over it. 800 dollars to fix bad ductaped junction boxes, buried wires and wires just sitting on the sheetrock. Wires not supported. Next time I need work I'm going to manage it myself. 1st and last experience with a all on one contractor.

Working with Renovate Right was the best decision I made. My basement was unfinished and the finished product was beyond my imagination. Jeff made a suggestion of how to complete my staircase by capping the stairs with the same wood color as the floors and they came out great. Oscar, Danny, and Ben all had their expertise in their own areas. They all worked well together and were meticulous in their work, They took pride in all they did, from the biggest to the smallest details. My wet bar and bathroom came out amazing. The wall unit Oscar build in the media area came out fantastic. The electric fireplace that he built into the wall made the final touch to complete the area. The workman are easy to work with and aim to please the customer. They are hard workers and show up for work every day. Besides the basement, I needed a new garage door, a railing installed on my front stairs outside and my walkway repaired. Jeff knew who could take of these things for me and they were done beautifully. I would high recommend this company for anyone looking to do any type of renovation. Thanks Jeff for a job well done!

I read all the glowing reviews, I met Jeff and listened to his sales pitch and then I got the price. It all seemed too good to be true and thought there had to be some kind of catch. Jeff and his crew were easy to work with, always showed up on time and did immaculate work. I kept waiting for the catch but the materials he used were higher quality, his price was lower and the work was excellent. There was no catch! I will be using them again for all my major projects. You would be crazy not to as well.

Hands down went above and beyond. The owner might be a complete douchebag who has never used a drill and hammer, but he knows the best people on Earth for all your housing needs. Oscar is the best painter, daredevil who will find a way to install things in a obscure manner. Otto - this guy installed siding in like 19 degree weather and just needed a power source. Danny is the jack of all trades and will make things in your house happen. He found a problem in the house and took time to correct it and make everything all good. Don is a fabulous painter and all workers take pride in their work and will make you feel at home with a feeling like it was done yesterday. The office manager is gorgeous sweetheart who takes all your requests and makes you feel important. The owner just needs psychiatric help since he thinks its okay to disrespect people with his statements at times which is why the rating is only a 3. All the workers are friendly, courteous, professional, and give the best workmanship and quality you expect for the buck. Always make sure you ask for an itemized estimate since it's your money and if the ditzy owner refuses, you can always go with another contractor who actually cares about you as a person and not just your wallet. The contractor will come with you to Home Depot to pick things out which is another plus point and he has an answering service in which you can contact and leave him a message and if he likes you, he will return your call.
