Qualifiers
Joe got to the end of our new residential build 5 days before the Final Inspection and says he needs more money to finish the job because material prices went over what he estimated. We had a fixed price contract with no clause specifying that he could charge more if prices increased.
I refused to give in to his extortion scheme and he said he was not going to finish the job without the additional money.
I would not recommend this any company who would walk off the job and leave the customer to finish his mess. Not to mention that he only labeled about 20% of the wire in the electric panel or that he did not put our island dishwasher on a separate circuit.
