Magistrate Court suit pending against MaurerCo. Owner Peter Maurer attempted to grossly overcharge my 82-year-old father for a simple patio job and took $5,500 as a deposit on May 3rd. The scope of work was incomplete and when asked to justify the exorbitant cost, Peter and his CFO/wife Lorelei refused to divulge any information. On July 9th Peter called agreeing to mutually cancel the contract (so he could start work on bigger a pool job) and refund the entire deposit. They have since gone dark, refusing to respond to e-mails/calls. They have apparently abandoned the project and are trying to keep the entire deposit.
