Total renovation of our family home built in 1958! I believe we started in June of 2017 and were in celebrating December 1st 2017. Doesn't sound like insurmountable project, but ENTIRE interior walls and electrical were removed, addition, including foundation, was added, A/C rerouted, custom bathroom with walk in shower, kitchen totally remodeled, new sidewalks and drive way added, wall to wall carpet ripped out and solid oak floors refinished and added where needed, two large walk in closets added, and custom interior to our liking. Garrett was a delight to work with, including his architect and various crews. He and his teams worked with the city obtaining permits, and scheduling all the necessary inspections. What ever we wanted, he made happen. The framers, sheet rockers, painters, finish carpenters, floorers, cabinet makers, electricians, and plumbers were easy to work with and did quality jobs.
The project was completed well under our original estimations. Appraised value was more than double of the value just prior to starting the project. Any punch list items that we ran into, were quickly addressed and corrected. Garrett build what you want and pleases you. He provided suggestions on specifics which we happily incorporated.
We have recommended him to our next door neighbor who quickly grabbed him up and did a total remodel on their house which was two or three times more complicated than ours. They were delighted with the outcome. We also recommended him and his team to our in laws who are currently in the process of not only remodeling their family home but adding on an ADU as well. We are contemplating doing the ADU as well pending some possible family situations.
We have recommended Garrett to two other neighbors who are pursuing contracts with him, but we do not know the outcome at the moment.
Garrett may be a small company, but his attitude and ability to provide you with what you ultimately want, is fantastic.
We have built two other houses from scratch, but this remodel was the cleanest and most rewarding of all.
We highly recommend Garrett Torrez (Rett Construction) as we found him and his team reliable and professional, and plan on using him again.
