R. Murphy came to fix a leak in my hot water line.He quoted $300 to fix "the leak". After putting in 3 pieces of pipe right next to each other, he charged me $340 saying there was " more than one leak". He said ALL the water lines were bad but he didn't inspect them. He would work up a price (in the thousands) to fix them. He claimed there wasn't enough water on the ground to worry about. The following day the termite inspector came & saw large areas of saturation & mold on the pilings. He told me to get fans set up that very day. My hushand returned home & found small leaks in the pipe which was worked on. He called Mr.Murphy who didn't respond. We were able to get an ethical plumber who replaced the entire defective line( including R.Murphy's repair) for $360!!! They & several other plumbers have inspected our lines & state R. Murphy's claim of defective lines was totally was false.The only bad line was the one he failed to fully repair . He also didn't check the water pressure which was 125!! Weeks later we were able to speak with R.Murphy who refused to refund our money & lied about his failure to tell us about the water issue under our house. I should mention his excessive talk about his personal life( divorce, net worth, his extensive knowledge) was troublesome to a medical professional like myself.My only reget is there was NO review online to alert me to avoid this business at all costs!!
