Ri Lee Electric replaced a 200A service and wired a licensed/permitted basement ADU for me in 2020. I chose a low-cost electrician: BIG mistake in this case. I designed and built two full-basement ADU,s and fully remodeled the main floor of my house in the past four years (three full kitchens, etc.). I did the architectural plans, obtained the permits, did much of the work myself, and acted as the general contractor. I hired subs for technical work (plumbing, electric, and some finishes), interviewed more than 25 subs, and worked with more than a dozen. While observing Ri Lee's work, I asked some questions. The response was, and I quote, "I don't have time", and when I asked again, "can't waste my breath". Unbelievable, and typical of his attitude. He failed to install required discrete circuits for the kitchen. He combined a dozen previously separated outlets and fixtures into one overburdened circuit, and I had to hire another electrician to fix his work. (I would not let him near my project after I stopped his work.) He drilled excess unnecessary/unused holes in my old floor joists, which I previously warned him about. I have photos of his sloppy work, and bills for repair work. Near the finish, I wanted an inspector to look at his impact on the framing (per the framing inspector's prior suggestion) and I would pay him in two days after the advisory inspection, rather than immediately. He threw an absolute abusive fit. I paid him and was glad to see him go. Not worth the irritation of going to small claims court to recover repair costs, but I have the evidence, photos, and costs to bring a complaint. His greatest skills are short-cuts to save himself time, and experience in distracting busy inspectors to avoid their noting problems. I greatly procrastinated posting this review. I prefer to give positive reviews and the benefit of the doubt, but now that I'm done with all my large projects, I owe it to the community.
