Riccardi contracting was referred by a friend. Price was great and I went for it. Fundamentally, it seemed to be a pretty good job, except for many, many exceptions. Although Dave Riccardi clearly knows what he's doing, many of the people in his employ do not. The job was plagued by mistakes, delays and sloppiness. So, while I do like the basement, I'm bothered by the sloppy paint job and the multiple minor errors. The worst, however, was that after the fact, he was not willing to fix them and was rude and defensive when I asked him to. I'm done.

By Daniel W.December 31, 2019Framing, sheathing.
Beginning things were great. Agreed to a 5 day schedule which instantly fell apart. Guys started working less then a full day, when questioned Dave text a threatening text to my son. Material came up missing "not accusing Dave or Crew" just a coincidence. Major deficiencies in the framing, layout wrong, plywood not bailed. Structural corners not correct. Header not being done correctly. Blocking incomplete. Sheating not completed. No squash blocks under bearing walls. Back garage door not framed correctly. No pork chops on rake of roof. Over hang on back portion of house is higher then the truss framed roof. Site was left in a filthy condition making it an unsafe environment, when a dumpster was provided for disposal of all debris. A day rate of $300.00 per man per day was agreed upon, at first full days were worked, but hours slowly started to decrease with out any credit for time. When Dave was questioned he got very belligerent and defensive. Law requires a Certificate of Insurance from ALL subs, Dave refused to supply certificate and or license.
My opinion I would look for a different contracor. Thats why I gave them 2 stars and thats being gracious. Pictures available upon request. -

Terrible is an understatement. We were pleased in the beginning and understanding of delays. We were happy with his crews work. His electrical subcontractor was awesome. Wish we could say the same for Dave.... Communication was fine in the beginning until the job really got started. Dave's rude attitude, and know it all behavior spewed out of him, even more so after things seemed to be irritating him. The job got to say 85% complete and then he dropped the ball and ignored us. We felt he put us on the back burner every time. At this point, he instructed we communicated no longer with him, but with his secretary ( guessing family member) in order to wrap the job up. From that point on things did not progress. He ignored us and left us to find our own subs to finish the job. They could never provide definitive answers and always the run around. He does not believe in punch lists to closing out a job. The last straw was when we received a text message berating us for unforeseen conditions, long on invective and totally irrelevant to the job....Dave did not take responsibility for damages caused by his crew and would not come out to make amends when we gave him numerous opportunities before reviewing him. He does not believe in professionalism and does not stay true to his word. Also, his only 2 positive reviews are family members or significant others..... STAY AWAY!!!!!

Great bunch of guys. Saved us a ton of money. We just got back from vacation using the money we had left over. Thank you Dave.

I came across this and found it Interesting while researching properties in town . I know that address I know it well . I'm buying it .
As far as I know there is not not was there ever a construction company there . It was a mechanic named Tim .
There was a Dave many years ago if I recall but I'm pretty sure he passed away about 10 or so years back .
So I believe these Individuals are being mislead. I've lived in Ambler my entire life . There's no such construction company
