    Build a house

    His spec homes are beautiful. The custom home I requested was not. Except for the ceilings. They are great. The craftsmanship of everything else was terrible. The cabinets and trim are unbelievably shoddy. They are scratched up, have rough spots, wood missing, paint drips everywhere. Even nails sticking out. The electrical in the kitchen is bad. I have flickering lights and 4 outlets with shorts and sone that just don’t work. The walls weren’t prepped fir wallpaper. The kitchen cabinets are crooked in addition to an I sanded, poorly painted job. The grout in the bathroom tile is uneven and coming out. There is no baseboard on the wall behind the stairs. I guess he figured no one would look down as they walked down the stairs. And it has debris that they left down there. I can’t fit in there to pick it up. There is so much wrong I can’t list it all. They even missed the wood in the garage so the nails are all exposed. If you decide to use RH to build your home only because of the ceilings make sure you examine it every step of the way. I’m having to replace all the cabinetry among other things. Sheetrock, painting, mismatched screws, thresholds, GFI’s, caulking around sinks and kitchen walls..... and a ton more. There were many other issues I won’t go into. You’re 100% better off buying his pre existing homes because he built them for himself. I have no idea why he did such a bad job for me. It totally escapes me.
