  My basement flooded after Hurricane Ida, and I needed help figuring out how to prevent future flooding. Jimmy & Joe spent an hour with me discussing all of my options, and we finally settled on a sump pump and a french drain in my garage. I got quotes from two other waterproofing companies, but Richmond's price was the lowest. His team came out and completed the entire job in a day. They were incredibly professional, clean and pleasant to deal with. Definitely worth it to work with a family business, where everyone cares about the job from start to finish. I would highly recommend Richmond Waterproofing.

  DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! We had water coming into our home and hired this company. They came and assured us the water coming into our basement was coming from behind my stoop. My husband disagreed with them and felt it was coming from under my front door. They insisted it was from behind the stoop. So them being the experts, we took their advice and ripped the stoop apart at a cost of $6,000 (which conveniently they had a contractor to rebuild the stoop). Well water is still pouring into my basement. AND ITS FROM THE DOOR! We contacted them and they came back and assured us they will find the problem and fix after stating "We aren't making any money on this job." REALLY! We just took down a perfectly fine stoop for $6,000 and you aren't making any money on this job!! Well Jimmy ignored our calls for months on end and came back after several months to assure us it would be fixed. When we threatened if it wasn't, we will see him in court, he left in a huff mumbling under his breath. He then stated to my husband courts are closed due to covid so you can't go to court. Of course, six months later and water is still coming into basement. Jimmy you are not an honorable man and believe me we will have our day in court and hopefully they grant me my whole $6,000 back. You have no conscience and even if one person sees this review and doesn't hire you Im happy. I will post this all over the internet to prevent anyone else to be taken by you!

  My experience was horrible. My leak was worse after they fixed. They did not guarantee their work. Said they would refund me but never did. I would not recommend using them.
