By George K.November 2, 2021Verified HireRoofing projectResponse from Right Turn Construction January 17, 2022George, We are truly sorry for the lack of communication regarding the start date and the other issues on your project. While we are not surprised at the negative review from you we are a little confused at the 1 star. We are glad you feel that your roof is "probably" a good one even though your rating seems to indicate a terrible job. We are also glad that our quality control guys found an issue and fixed it before it became a problem. We have been helping people with their roof issues for almost 25 years. Our focus is on doing the job right and our system of checks and balances ensures that even if the installers make a mistake, the inspector will catch it. Most people are pleased with this while you make it sound like a negative thing. That said, we would like to humbly ask that you revise your rating to more honestly indicate the quality of the roof that you hired us to do. By leaving us a 1 star rating it begs the question, "what kind of rating would you leave if the final result was shoddy and leaky?"

I would recommend them. They were there when they said they would be and finished within a week. The one thing I would say is they are pretty spendy. You might want to check prices with a few places, before committing to them. But they were able to finance and thats why we ended using Right Turn Construction.

Very Smooth job from start to finish. They did exactly what they promised and more. They were 2 days later than we expected but they let us know and did the roof quickly and cleaned up at the end of both days. They didn't ask for any money at all until after and inspection was done. Highly Recommend Right Turn Construction

Initially, the working relationship was good. Got a call from the owner and had a good talk over the phone. A gentleman from the firm came out a day or two later and we discussed everything that needed to be done and a bid was submitted. After comparing the bid with those of other firms and selecting Right Turn, a contract was signed. Then things started going south. We were supposed to get a call to schedule when the work was to commence. Instead, we saw out our window one morning that there was a big dumpster in the driveway right in front of the garage blocking our cars so the cars could not get out (the garage door was open). We finally got the dumpster moved that afternoon, but it was a hassle. Additionally, that same day, it was learned that the contract that had been agreed upon had a major mistake – Right Turn underestimated the amount of shingles for the job by fifteen (15) squares. In hindsight, we should have cancelled everything at that point, but we agreed to the new price which was in line with other bids we had received. Work started two days later. They worked for two days and then did not come on the third day due to rain. That day, the gutter on the garage overflowed due to it being clogged with debris and not allowing the water to drain. When the workers resumed work, it took them several additional days to finish the job over what they had originally said it would take. When the roof was finally completed, the place was left in a mess. Nails, rubber bands, shingle and flashing scraps, caulking tubes, staples (from the old roof) and inches of grit were left on the new roof, on the grounds around the house and in the gutters. The initial inspection from Right Turn revealed that some of the shingles had to been damaged during the reroofing and a section of flashing on a chimney had not been installed properly. These were subsequently fixed as they should have been. The bottom line, we would not recommend them to anyone. The roof is probably a good one, but because of all the broken promises and terrible communications, we do not trust even the warranty that they signed in the contract (ten years on workmanship). We did not see the Yelp reviews until after the job was completed. Nine reviews gave them a one star, one owner gave a two star, and two gave them five stars. They should rename the firm Wrong Turn!
