By AnonymousSeptember 29, 2017New construction$390,000Response from Rincon Builders LLC August 28, 2019It is too bad that you didn't use your name or bring some of these problems to my attention during the build. Let me first address a few inaccuracies in your statements; I didn't start any 4 plex townhomes in February of that year. We did start a unit in April and finished in October. That is 7 months to finish a building that was well over 10,000 sq ft - that seems pretty good to me. Could you have started your timeline from when you signed the contract with the developer, who then waited until they had all the units under contract before having Rincon start the project? Secondly, the grout. Changing the floor/wall grout colors in the showers was never an available option, so I am unsure what you are inferring. I remember that we installed the bbq gas line in the same place on every building in the complex and then after it was in you asked to have it changed. Which we did at no cost to you. It is not an uncommon practice in our area to paint the home after cabinets, tops and tile are in. I did have a problem scheduling painters during that time, but nobody ran off with any money and all subcontractors were paid in full as they always are. Lastly, the landscaping. The landscapers did not work for me but for the HOA and are not part of my contract. I am sorry that you had a bad experience.

I recommend Mark Weston wholeheartedly. I have known Mark for 16 years. He has successfully completed projects for me in SLC and in St. George. He has lined me up with excellent and fair subcontractors when I've needed them. He is is the most caring and fair contractor I have ever worked with. He is realistic, and honorable, and an excellent choice.

As a contractor myself I can say with confidence Mark has no clue what he is doing. I was forced to have time build a rental property for me in southern utah as I live in northern utah. He started on the home in February and now in October he is still not done with a 2100 sq. Ft town home. The best part is he missed a shower head in the master, gas line for bbq is in the wrong wall, grout for the shower pan in all 3 baths is the grout for the walls and the grout for the walls is for the shower pan. But all my cabinets, counter tops, mantle, and built in bunk beds are installed. Wait there is not a drop of paint he decided to pay the painter the full amount of the money and he ran with it. He can't even multi task and at least get the landscapers going while they try and figure out the inside just huge piles of red dirt that he likes to scrape up with a toothed bucket chipping and scratching the new side walks and curbs
