Think twice before using Ritchie Engineering for anything. They clearly are more concerned about their payday, than taking care of the customer(s) or the job. They took advantage of our community when asked to see if the properties can be decommissioned from the fire retardant systems common to 38 of the condo's. we asked them to sample the units since they all were built under the same contractor, using his specs, and there are only 3 different designs of the condos. They refused, and insisted on checking each one individually, rather than splitting up the total bill over the sample units or all the units combined. In fact, they billed each of us differently with the common denominator being that the elderly widows were consistently billed less, of coarse, it was still too much but less than the rest of us. They also billed extra for asking a question, to those who they felt could afford extra money, even 1 guy was billed the highest after they were at his house the shortest amount of time, using the "you asked questions" excuse.
They averaged about 45 minutes per property and checked several in a day to curtail their travel expense of the 10-15 miles they traveled. They had the nerve to send the township a letter expressing how all the condos were the same and all were fine to decommission, without any changes to the original contractors specifications. this was of coarse after they received a huge payday from the elderly residents that reside in the community.
