I can't start to explain my issues with this builder, "Henry". Lied to my face more times than I can count, numerous time no workers on site for 2 weeks and he hardly showed up, no site foreman after the first 40 days, 4 years after construction and still have massive issues he won't fix. Over charged me, tried to keep refunds for unused products that he bought much too much of in an attempt to cash in on the returns (thousands of dollars), tried to keep a 15K down payment saying it was a retainer when the contract clearly said it was not. Several times I had to explain to him how to do something, Did not coordinate between his subcontractors, Started the build 2 months late and finished in January, only after I retained a Lawyer when the promised completion date was September, refused to provide a project schedule until late Dec 2014. 48K for excavation when the budget was only 24K, accounting errors up to 15K in a month that I had to find, refused to meet me at the bank for payments insisting we meet in a coffee shop. Several of his sub-contractors dropped him due to his business practices. Make your own decision, I am still trying to get my money back and things fixed. No kidding, since he started construction in 2014, I have only had one person say something good about him, but far more than 50 tell me how bad he is/was. Has renamed his business 3 times since I started with him, wonder why he had to do that: Stone Cottage Homes, River Rock Homes and Homes By River Rock. Wonder what it will be next????

We had a great experience building with River Rock. Henry helped us find our lot, kept in constant communication, and in the end, came in under budget and on time. Our home even appraised for a higher value than we built it for. He met or exceeded all of our expectations in a home builder. He came highly recommended by a realtor friend, and we recommend him and his team as well. I read the review above and had to post my own personal review because I think there’s got to be more going on behind the scenes in that situation. It was not our experience at all.
