I believe his technical expertise is pretty good but the wood (pine) he used on the project is shrinking and splitting, which is very disappointing. The final bill was considerably greater than his original quote and that shocked me but I paid it. I was hesitant to write a review because honestly, the man made me uncomfortable.
Response from Riviere Design August 17, 2018In response to this review: A very strange customer that had approved a change order for extra work on her porch. Thus the increase in work and cost...The wood needed to be sealed ASAP and she said she would do that. And as far as uncomfortable goes, I felt she was a little weird as well with how she was acting. -

Ken is super talented, very experienced and a master at several trades. I own an interior design firm located in the NY tri-state area and have worked on a variety of high end residential and commercial projects with Ken over the past 10 years. He has always delivered our projects on time and on budget, with the highest level of quality and attention to detail. I can't think of anything that he can't accomplish successfully in construction. He Rocks!!!

Ken does a great job at any task he takes on. He has a keen eye for detail and the skills to accomplish it. As an architect, I especially appreciate that, and I have had him do a number of projects at my own houses.
It looks like he can do about anything on a job site! He has done masonry, concrete, steel and other work on my projects. His stonework on my house gets consistently admired by passersby.

Hired to pour a concrete foundation; quite a large project & Ken ended up ruining the entire project. He said he would repair the poor work but when the time came he refused - we had to bring in structural & concrete engineers and hire attorneys to pursue damages in civil court. We currently have an outstanding judgement in my favor for over $50,000 which he refuses to pay. Do not hire him, he does not stand behind his work or honor his commitments and will leave you stuck with the bill.
