We recently purchased a completely renovated house by Rob Anavim President of RJA Design and Renovations Inc and would strongly recommend future home buyers avoid using him.
Throughout the 6 month process Rob would make countless lies about things that were included in the house to induce an above market purchase price from us. Numerous times we had to supply Rob with emails that he sent us to prove that he agreed to include certain things. Rob showed minimal professionalism thought the process; including sending nasty emails and not showing up for numerous important meetings we scheduled; including the closing. The process got so hostile we sent a formal termination notice due to breach of contract. Rob's response was to terminate we would need to pay him $50k or fight it out in court. Needless to say we decided to move forward with the transaction.
Prior to close we had the house inspected and it was agreed upon that Rob and his partner Derrick would correct any issue in the inspection report. One of the items pointed out on the inspection report was a structural deficiency. When we instructed Rob to fix it, he refused. We had to hire a town engineer to explain the deficiency to Rob and instruct him how to fix it. The feedback we received from the engineer was that Rob seemed confused and was extremely hostile.
Additionally, in the two months since we closed on the house we have reached out to Rob and his partner Derrick to fix various things as part of our one year warranty. For the majority of items Rob has refused to fix, as he claims they are not covered under the warranty.
We do not usually submit these formal reviews but the way we were treated by Rob was deplorable and we only wish there was a review like this on the internet to warn us (I did look before entering in the contract with him).
