Rick Moncebais is a thief. We paid him $8000.00 down for remodeling. After 1 week I could not reach him. After 11 days his painters quit because they had not been paid. His address is an apartment complex leasing office. When I filed on him in Collin County, the Collin County constable was very familiar with him and said it's always the same story- takes your money and quits. He finally contacted by me with text saying he was sick, throwing up, hands shaking, and had to call EMS because he thought he was having a heart attack. I won a default judgement today in Collin County precinct 3-1. There is a similar review (in addition to mine) on Home Advisor. Rick is a crooked contractor and should be avoided at all cost. Don't be fooled like we were!

I am in a similar situation. I paid Rick Moncibais a 40,000 draw to cover our architectural drawings and to begin construction on our restaurant. We recently found out that he passed away. I am trying to recover our funds because of breach of contract. Please know that this put us in a bad situation. I hope we can recover our funds so we can finish up our project.
