I have used Ricardo multiple times and his work met my expectations.

I am a realtor and I have worked with many construction companies in the past few years. I have never found such a wonderful company/person to work with in completing a project until I found Ricardo from R.M. Home & Building Improvements. I hired him to come in and completely renovate a master bath to make it handicapped accessible, the kitchen, windows installation and capping, and wood flooring throughout the entire property . The owner Ricardo Marrero was very knowledgeable and could see exactly what I wanted and needed. The whole experience from beginning to end was wonderful. He was more than willing to work with me and helped me to complete the project while staying within my budget. The guys he have helping him were here at the property every morning by 8-8:30 and worked straight through the day and sometimes through the night. Never leaving, They knew what to do and they came in and did their job. Very pleasant job. I will definitely use R.M. Home & Building Improvements again for any other construction jobs.

I had a great experience with RM Home & Building. Ricardo helped me with a kitchen renovation. He is very dependable and his work was excellent. I highly recommend him.

RM Home Improvement did a full renovation on one of our apartments, except the kitchen. This included floors, walls, painting, and finishing work. His work was reasonable for a reasonable price. I advise to have a detailed contract of all work to be performed along with payment skedule.

RM Home completed a few projects at my home over the past 2 years that included the repair and replacement of 2 flat roofs, repair and remodeling of my second floor balcony, repair amd sealing of a front slope, repair to damaged walls caused by water deterioration, repair of window frame and window installation, shingle repair and installation and the repair of a ceiling due to water damaged caused by the blizzard of 2016. When working with Ricardo i have observed him and his crew to bs honest, responsible and reasonable in his price quotes. Ricardo was punctual and knowedgeable of the work to be done and the material needed to complete the work. i never felt shafted, ignored or cheated by Ricardo. Although I know that people have different taste in the people they work with and their own perceptions on what constitutes quality work, i have had a favorable experience with this company. It's hard to find contractors who loook beyond their own self interest and try to work with their customer to obtain cost effective quality work. i highly recommend this company for your contracting and remodeling needs.

Ricardo is my go-to for any job - big or small. He has saved the day for me several times. Whether you need drywalling work, door repair, door / window install, floor installation, etc do not hesitate to give me a call. You will find his prices fair, his work to be quality and your job done in a timely manner.

Save yourself the headache... The owner Ricardo Marrero of RM Home Improvement quoted me $1800 to put down carpet (this is his labor only)... I asked what that amount includes, and he said $900 to move furniture. I said I would do that myself as I still had to buy the carpet. So that left a cost of $900 for labor. I give Ricardo a $500 deposit as per his request... When buying the carpet, the store instructs me that they have an offer that comes with free installation. So I tell Ricardo in good faith that we can apply the $500 towards another project. I tell him the project was to patch 2 holes in April and here it is November and the work still isn't completed. After a million excuses from Ricardo as to why the work still isn't done, I tell him to give me back the difference between the $500 and the work he has done so far... he tells me he now wants to charge me for gas. His exact words were "I spend more money on gas than doing the work"... so the charge for the patch work is $500.
Additional note: Ricardo was going to put the carpet over my laminate floors... and Lowes instructed me that the Laminate floors had to be removed... because the carpet would be ruined. So needless to say... the work wouldn't have been correctly. SMH! Lesson Learned!

Never ever use this contractor, ricardo marrero. Incorrectly installed siding, destroyed furnance pipes by sawing off, destroyed brand new dishwasher, plumbing leaks, incorrect faucet replacement, hot/cold lines reversed, left exposed electrical wires, gets cocky and arrrogant when asked to fix things, his answer is 'not my problem' and that's how its supposed to be'. All he wants is money, zero quality, zero negotiation, shows up and leaves and his leisure, never tells of plans for the next day, except when he shows up and says i need extra $$$$ for this and that and if i dont get it, i cant work, and im charging you 350 a day, if I cant work. I could go on and on and wish i could upload images of all the damages...so disappointed

He also installed new windows and doors, plus many other things around the house that needed repair. He keep us informed of every details through out the time the project took place. He demonstrated to be very responsible and understanding with all of our needs. (Trust me my wife can be a bit difficult)!! He always accommodate his work schedule around our crazy schedules and the project was still done on the expected date. At first we only hired him to build the desk, but then we decided that we wanted him to do all the repairs at the house. I wish I can upload some pictures here to"show up my desk", but my phone would not let me do it. The project total cost was very reasonable, but most importantly, the quality of the work was excellent. I will definitely highly recommend RM Home & Building Improvement for any project you will like to do.

We had very bad experience with RM home improvement. The owner Ricardo claims to be an experienced contractor but he did everything incorrectly on our project. We had to hire someone else to fix his mistakes which cost us a lot more money. Kitchen cabinets were installed in a slap dash manner with significant gaps between the cabinets. When asked, he blamed it on the quality of the cabinets and demanded extra money to fix it. Window trims have large gaps at the miter joints and not flush with the wall. He gives you a decent quote but comes up with various items and charges you lot more extra. He demands you to pay money upfront. I filed a complaint to claim some of the money I paid him. This company is not trusted worthy at all and does not do a quality job.
