Robert Buitta Master Carpenter

Hired him to renovate my already finished basement after a sewer backup. I couldn't be happier with my newly finished space! Drywall and flooring were replaced, a handcrafted sliding barn door was installed for a prominent closet and several other doors hung to match. Toilet, vanity and light fixture in the bathroom are in perfect working order and the paint job is perfect!!! The entire job was completed within a few weeks (including the cleaning crew) and constant communication was experienced throughout. So grateful this respectful and talented contractor is doing well!

Hired Robert to install 3 new exterior doors on my house. The price quoted was fair and they were there right on time and were extremely meticulous. The doors look great! I would definitely hire Robert and his crew for other work around the house.

Had done a lot of good work for us and had a great eye and touch for style, colors, etc. Back in 2009, he started a basement job then disappeared after taking a materials check. Looking back I saw some red flags, but didn't act until it was too late.

Wish I found this board earlier. He is definitely in some sort of trouble. He never showed up for the job and his Framingham address is false.

Based upon a number of projects throughout the house -- interior and exterior, some very extensive -- I wish to express that Mr. Buitta is truly talented, highly skilled, professional, knowledgeable neat, affable, trustworthy, and sincere.

The negative report in a previous comment by a particular individual is utterly off the mark and completely misleading.

I am a longtime Newton homeowner and would be way more than happy to recommend Bobby Buitta.

Mr. Buitta has done several jobs in my house. Not only was he very professional, I call on him time and time again as I purchased an old house with lots to do and can not afford to do it all at once. Robert does what is asked and will go above and beyond to make my budget work and have the specific job look like a million.
Any legal issues that he might have should have no barring on the amazing work he does.

I have to say that I almost didn't't hire him because of these bad reviews. I am very grateful that I listen to my mother's advise. You can please some of the people most of the time but not all the people all the time! These two bad reviews do not belong here. He is a true gentlemen. His work has far exceeded my expectations. If you talk to him he will give you a lot of satisfied customers. (References) Way more than these two unsatisfied ones. I will definitely use him again and again. he also did a lot of work for me over the years and has always done an excellent and professional job, very easy to work with. He did tell me about financial problems he has had due to the economy and has been working hard to correct his issues.

Awful! He scammed us into believing his lies. He renovated our bath and as soon as he finished, we realized what an awful job his guys did. We've since had to have nearly all of his work re-done at our expense.

ANYONE ELSE WHO IS A VICTIM OF THIS PERSON: December 2011, he failed to show up at his own criminal hearing at the Newton Mass Trial Court so the District Attorney has filed yet another outstanding warrant for his arrest.

He did my house, i dont know what kind of trouble he has gotten himself into for what ever reasons, but was a very kind, respectful, and talented contracter and builder. A real artist at what he does and an absolute perfectionist as well. I hope he can turn whatever has happened around.
