By Brad W.September 3, 2020Install a french drain system to keep water away from the house$2,700Read more
Working with Randy Roberts on our project has been nothing short of a nightmare! We selected to work with him based off of having a warranty from work that the previous owners of our home had maintained. After being coerced to quickly put down a deposit on our project and doing so (on Feb. 28, 2020), it was several weeks before the project began. We were told that we needed to install a French drain system in our yard due to “lot to lot drainage” that was damaging our foundation. When the work finally began, it was completed by someone who we were told was Randy’s son, along with a few other younger guys. We paid for Randy and the “25 years’ experience” that he constantly bragged about, but never saw him. Due to COVID, he was afraid to work outside in our backyard in Dallas. We were told that the job would take 12 hours and be done in one day (funny how 12 hours turns into one month). His crew destroyed our back yard for multiple days, often with days or a week in between. While the job was being done, the workers busted a sprinkler head and thought it appropriate not to tell us. Prior to going to bed, I found a river in the trench had been dug, and my backyard became a mess of mud. Randy was so kind as to shut off my water for the next 16 hours to resolve the problem. Finally (on April 2, 2020), we were told that there were five surface level drains, but the problem with that is that they were buried and I am not sure where they are. After multiple text messages, phone call and emails to Randy, they’re still buried. To top it all off, a few thousand dollars later and I still have standing water in my backyard. I have zero confidence in the work and would not trust this individual in any way. There’s constantly an excuse. Broken down truck, out of town job, COVID numbers are high… I don’t think that I have ever been more frustrated with the way that a project has turned out in my entire life. It’s obvious that Randy could care less about his customers being satisfied or even having confidence in his work. After this experience, it may take me a lifetime to fully trust any contractor.

Randy Roberts is among the worst service providers in the metroplex. I purchased a home that was previously serviced by him. Within a month of moving in, the foundation moved considerably. I alerted Randy that he needed to repair the foundation pursuant to the warranty. After months of going round and round, Randy showed up one afternoon with some day laborers, dug a few holes, and then never returned. I had to fill in the holes myself. The foundation was never adjusted. After further investigation, I discovered that Randy used an unlicensed engineer (someone who lost his license because he was bad at being an engineer). Eventually, Randy stopped returning my calls. If you are considering foundation repaired, or are someone who is buying a house serviced by Randy Roberts, please reconsider. In my experience, he is unfit for this line of work.

Mr. Roberts is driven by nothing but pure greed. He claims he offers a lifetime transferable warranty, but the reality is you will never see him complete any repairs once he takes your money. He will make nothing but empty promises and give a thousand excuses as to why he didn't show up as agreed and scheduled. Bottom line is he is too busy because he keeps taking new jobs he can make money on rather than standing behind his work and his word. For 2 years I tried to get repairs done under warranty to no avail. I had to take him to court to try and get back the money it will cost to have the work done properly. Judgement was given in my favor, but of course I haven't seen a dime and never will. Please stay away from this man and his company and do not give him your hard earned money.

My experience with Roberts foundation was terrible. I'm the pastor of a small Church in Fort Worth mr. Roberts was contracted by our church to repair the foundations in the kitchen and in the fellowship hall along the west wall of the church Mr. Roberts dug up the floor in the kitchen exposing dirt and then he dug up the floor in the hallway explosion dirt the building sits on a pier and beam Foundation Mister Roberts after he remove the floors did not come back to do work when I contacted mr. Roberts about doing the work that he agreed to do he would always have an excuse as to why he could not make it back we finally had to do the floor ourselves and we should mr. Roberts in court we won the Judgment against mr. Roberts and as of today I have not seen one nickel of the Judgment that we were awarded mr. Roberts is a shady person who preys on people by touting his military experience and so on and so forth he talk about playing the piano in church, he also talks about his production company of the movies that he's making and so long but this man is not to be trusted with your foundation or anything else.I posted a complaint about him on Craigslist and a female contact me about the complaint that mr. Roberts had done her bad as well long story short stay away from mr. Roberts even the address that he has listed in Granbury is not his address it's just a vacant lot according to the constable down there.

I loved the job Randy did. Have recommended him to others and they also love his work. Haven’t had one problem yet.
