He used oil stain without telling me, as I had water base on my deck and only asked him to put on one coat to refresh stain, I never expected him to make his own decision and use oil which I did not want. I am now told to fix the horrible job, it will need to be sanded.
He repaired a deck board by patching with 2 pieces instead of using one long board - looks ridiculous. He said well you didn't pay me for it, what does that mean. He put on bill and refuses to come back to fix and finish job.
He asked me to use Sherwin Williams where the color chip was not true to color, color is ugly. I would rather have used the brand that was on there to match color. He charged me for 3 gallons of paint and then told me on phone he only used 1.5 gallons, so I asked him to bring paint back, another reason he is not calling back. He got it on sale, I checked prices where he told me he was buying it. He paid no more than $38 per gallon at most, then charged me $50/gallon, $150 for the paint and he used about $57 in paint.
I left money with someone and she paid him most of the bill, never do that- hold back enough so they will come back, and now he refuses to answer my calls and come back to fix board and deck. All my furniture, and grill, was left on the lawn, I had to move it so lawn will not die as it has been there for more than 2 weeks, we slide it to sidewalk, and it still is there because I have no way to get it back on deck.
He said he was giving me a discount, I had a 10% off coupon , when he gave person I left a bill that went from $540 to $690. I paid cash, which for some reason made bill cheaper on his end. Wonder Why? This was a terrible experience.
