Rock Solid Design and Construction

I was treated very rudely by Tim Tucker and his brother Dan Tucker. My wife and I had a meeting with Tim Tucker and showed him various designs we liked. He stated with the brick and stone on the home the price would increase to $115.00 per square foot. At that time it was a fair price. My family and I left the meeting happy and made an appointment with our bank. We got approval to move forward. For approximately a month I tried to get with Tim and was told one excuse after another...that he was out, he was told to call me they don't know why he isn't calling me back. My wife and I couldn't understand it. If he was busy with other projects that's fine,but to be ignored was ridiculous. After calling and calling and writing an email, I got through to him. He stated to me that he wanted to make sure I was OK with the $115.00 per square foot price he quoted. I said yes it was no problem. As I was in a doctors office I had to end the call and said I would call him back. Two days later I called to make an appointment with his design team so we could move forward. Since their office is in Crawfordville and we live in Tallahassee they make appointments at an office space here in Tallahassee. After working all day my family and I rush across town to be on time for the meeting. We get there and Tim and his staff are a no show. A woman working in the office calls Tim and let's him know we are there. He then texts my phone to tell me he emailed me to let me know he wasn't coming. Then my phone rings and it is his brother Dan. Who spoke to me like a bully. Telling me how it is. I explain to him what I have been going through trying to move forward and have met with nothing but resistance. I don't understand it. My wife and I have done nothing wrong and have met all the requirements they asked. He said he would talk to Tim and call me the next day. He kept his word, but the first thing he said was the house we wanted looked expensive and Tim said it was a minimum of $115.00 a square foot. I said first of all I have no idea what your looking at as we have not designed anything. I only gave ideas to Tim as to what we like. All along my wife and I were met with words like no problem and we can do trim work like this parade of homes home for $110.00 a square foot. But when it was time for the rubber to meet the road as they say it was a different story. His brother called me having no idea what he was talking about and I'm trying to defend myself saying I don't understand what the problem is as we have done everything we were supposed to do. I heard Tim in the back ground telling his brother to hang up on me. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't understand why I was being treated the way I was being treated when I had done nothing wrong and met the requirements to start building. The only thing I can see is they were trying to get more money from us. Instead of just saying it or saying he may have miscalculated and the price of materials has gone up they tried to bully me into going away so they wouldn't have to do what they say they would do. I stated to them I thought you were Christians, as I am and I don't think Christians act the way you do. It seems as though they wanted to be greedy Christians. I felt like I was dealing with tenants of an insane asylum dealing with Tim Tucker and his brother Dan. They wasted our time, treated us rudely, and were not honorable in their dealings my my family and I. Its a shame as the first meeting went well and we were looking forward getting started on our new home. After being spoken to the way I was and treated like I was, I will go somewhere else with my business. My wife and I could have gone over the price per square foot he quoted with no problem, but I will take our money to a respectable company. Instead of working with us they acted like obnoxious Jerks who never gave us the benefit of telling them we qualified for the amount of the home plus all the extras. I felt like I was dealing with people who lacked common sense and manners. I think they would be wise to remember pride comes before a fall.
