Had to fire this contractor. I hired him for a sizable job and it initially went well, but after getting 75% of the total payment, he hired two guys off Craigslist to do all of the finishing work. Almost everything they did will have to be redone by another contractor for significantly more money. Ruined 165 sq. ft. of tile by putting it down without any type of backer. Some of it cracked within days of being put down. One of them dropped a tool through the ceiling of my bathroom and didn't even clean up the broken plaster afterwards. They broke my stove while moving it, installed laminate floor the wrong direction, and left chewing tobacco cups all over my house.
