We hired Rodney Shepherd to redo a small bath and our master bath, in February of 2021 .He messed up our small bath and we had to go with tile out of our pocket because he did not level our shower pan. He paid part of the bill to get us a custom made shower door because our shower was so messed up a reg one would not work. The company he hired to do the custom shower door has been out here 3 or 4 times and cannot get the shower to stop leaking around the door. Our master bath is now having to have the wall knocked out again and have new plumbing parts put in. We also had to have them take a wall down that had been tiled and one side was much thicker than the other wall. That was a huge deal. Our wall looks a little better, but is still much thicker on one wall than the other wall. The guy that came to mud our sheetrock, barely touched our sheetrock to sand it down, and when we asked him if he sanded it down, he said no, was I supposed to. We got in touch with him and he came back, and really did nothing much to fix our walls at all. We bought all our bathroom fixtures and everything ourselves, we hired our own painter, and my husband put up mirrors and lights and wall sockets. Rodney put down our floors, bought the sheetrock and molding and plywood he used. I am afraid our bathrooms are going to just cave in at this point, I love the look of our new bathrooms, but I know all the blunders he made. Anyone with and eye at all can see the flaws everywhere that he did wrong. I am very upset and angry and especially for what he charged us. He will not answer phone calls or texts now and his voicemail is full. After we paid him he might have talked to us twice, and nothing after that. Our bathroom was started in February and we wrote him his check in April. We have had problems with almost everything since he left. I would not recommend this person to build a dog house. He acted like he was a wonderful person, and was very nice at all times. That was before he got his check, and after it all changed. We are contacting all the people that did work for him at our house, and getting them to come back and fix the messes that were made during construction. I am terrified at what will happen next! It seems like everything was just done halfway, and there was no way we could have known until the job was done. I got his name from Lowes Hardware in Elkin N.C. The person I spoke to at Lowes told me his name, and I asked him if he would trust him, and he said "I gave him the keys to my house". Clearly we were led the wrong way! I have heard many horror stories about this man and his business after I hired him and he had left our house. Some of the people that did some of the work in our house that he hired, have told him never to call them again. This was a terrible experience and one that I will never forget!
