Roger Wade Kennedy

I wish I would have seen the previous post prior to hiring Roger. 1st let me start by saying "I hate writing reviews" especially when they are bad. Hence, the project that was supposed to be completed in two months has continued more than a year, and I'm just now voicing my compliant after trying to give every benefit of the doubt to this contractor. When Roger first showed up we kicked it off immediately. He's really a nice person we signed a contract on June 30th 2014 for the work beginning July 3, 2014 with an estimated completion date on or before Aug. 8th 2014. We had a number of delays to begin with and to be fair, not all the delays were Roger's fault. However, more than a year later and countless calls and broken promises of " I'll be there no later than Fri. to finish the work", I've given up on Roger. I know what it is like to own a business, I've owned mine for over 15yrs. I believe in paying people on time and don't expect anything for free. The work Roger completed is good. However, I've paid dearly for his mistakes and lack of timeliness. 1st - after framing the roof and running electrical the actual roof was not put on for 3 months. This left the wood framing and electrical exposed to rain and caused me to spend over $350 to replace an outdoor ceiling fan that was ruined due to rain. 2nd - The roof that was put on was the wrong roof and not the roof stated in the contract. I had to pay another roofing company $3,000 to take the wrong roof off and put the correct roof on. 3rd - the electrician that Roger subbed calls me and tells me he's going to put a lien on my house because Roger never paid him, that was another $1,500 out of my pocket. I've also had to pay a plumber $200 to fix a water line and $250 to correctly connect a gas line. 4th - after not hearing back from Roger for weeks I finally called and had the final inspection done myself before the permit expired. And I'm still waiting for Roger to install corbels as per our contract. And you may ask why not sue the guy. Well unfortunately Renovation Home Concepts - is technically administratively dissolved with no address. 2nd my contract is under Crown General Contracting which isn't registered under his name. However, I will be following up with the Dept. of Revenue and IRS. Home Owners Beware.

BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT HIRE. ROGER WADE KENNEDY IS A CON MAN! I hired Roger after my home was burglarized to replace be front doors which were destroyed during the robbery. My wife was 8 1/2 months pregnant and I needed the doors replaced quickly. So I contacted a company through Angie's List. The company (which I dealt with separately) said that they would have their sales rep. Roger Kennedy contact me. I ended up signing a contract with Roger Wade Kennedy. I didn't realize at the time that the contract had a different name on it than the company I contacted. So I paid a down payment of half and later an additional $3551 for a door. This unethical shyster strung us along for three months without paying for our door to even be started. He claimed to own Crown General Contracting, this was a lie. After researching Crown General Contracting I found an image that warned the public the Roger Kennedy is a fraud. Next I contacted the real Crown General Contracting and learned that Roger Kennedy (a mere employee) had trademarked the company name while the actual owner Chris Akins was nursing his wife on her death bed. Chris says he regrets not legally pursuing Roger, but he was distracted with his wife's passing.

So when I googled Roger Wade Kennedy aka Rigger Kennedy for reviews his criminal history popped up. The charges included forgery, stalking, battery, child abuse, dui's, driving on a suspended licence, etc. Literally 13 mugshots came up. So now I was dealing with a criminal who had my money and had been in my home with my newborn daughter and wife. As according to Roger, the first door that we chose was wood which he claimed was too hard to get because it had to be shipped from Europe (b.s.) So he said he was going with a different manufacturer. For weeks Roger Kennedy told me the door was being built and he promised it was on the way. He did not know that I had been in contact with the company that he claimed to have paid.

When I finally got Roger to come to my home he continued to lie about the door. So I called Tapp Lumber on speaker phone and they confirmed that Roger Wade Kennedy was full of crap. I was fully prepared to have him arrested for theft by deception but knowing that he was about to get into some hot water, he paid me back my money immediately in cash. So then I don't understand why if he had the money he didn't just order the door in the first place. After calling him out he said 'but I was gonna order your door". Again this was more than 1 month after I paid him for the door. I had to actually argue with him about how much I owed him and he tried to say that I owed him more than I actually did. I paid him every penny of my remaining balance and politely asked him to leave my home and not to come back ever again.

It was a red flag that he didn't have any reviews online. Now I understand why. He apologized which was in my opinion more b.s. and left. I wish I could have his licence revoked. Buyer Beware. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. My email is [email protected]
