This guy is an outright criminal.
Nine years ago this guys' company, under the name "Protec" did the crappiest job any crew could do on a roof.
For starters, they started the shingles practically touching the other side of the roof gutter on all four sides of the house, making it virtually impossible to get your hands in there to clean-out the roof gutters.
In addition, the roofing crew shingled-over an air vent opening (Of which Nick Rohl did come out personally to fix, with the correct air vent fixture). Based on my observations at the time, it did seem like the crew working on the roof did a fair amount of goofing off.
But mainly, right after the roof was installed, along with some replacement of 4'x8' sheets of plywood (really cheap plywood, already infected with mold) we noticed uneven shingles, due to the buckling of this plywood against the original plywood already up there. Our roof was basically the joke of the neighborhood.
After doing some research (since "Pro-Tec" didn't exist anymore) My wife came across Rohl's name, a company under his own name. He ignored my wifes attempt to contact him for a number of years, then finally came out after my wife attempted a new round of trying to get a hold of him.
Showing up wearing a backwards hat, and not even bothering to go into the attic to actually look at anything, he offered to stick some 2x4's up in the attic for $1800.00 (I'm not kidding).
Since then we had an estimator with another well-known company come out, and described what he saw: Cheap, non-roofing-grade plywood used, no professional installation used to prevent buckling, along with a poor job of sealing the roof around our chimney.
So to make a long story short, 9 years later we have to pay all over again for all of the work that was done back then: New replacement plywood, new shingles, etc.
