Contractor estimated a 3 month remodel period for kitchen remodel and replacement of flooring in main living spaces of the home. Remodel took about 6.5 months and finishes/touchups/completion of project never occurred. Contractor lied about what was being done and items that were completed. When it came time to install flooring cabinets and pouring concrete, contractor did not follow through on date and typically was due to lack of his finances to purchase material or hire subcontractors. According to contract put forth by contractor, the balance of 50% would not be paid to him until project was completed; however contractor frequently requested payments throughout the build as he stated he could not pay his laborers. Contractor did some good work; however work site was messy and contractor did not take care to cover or protect our belongings in a separate room. All work was messy and contractor was not diligent in trying to work clean--concrete was on our ceiling all the upper walls, lighting fixtures, our French doors. Contractor did not clean up after sanding drywall or pouring concrete. We spent many weeks cleaning up our home prior to being able to move in. Contractor did not complete work.
