My experience of working with Ronnie Gooch was terrible ! My wife and I purchased a new built home from RG construction which is owned by Ronnie . Our floors are coming up and breaking off in sections i have several leaks in our basement we have nail pops , they didn't prepare the walls good to accept paint and they used flat paint to hide the serious imperfections, our drive way is cracking , we have a very bad erosion issue on the right side of our property. Ronnie has been sent certified letters numerous emails and he choose not to respond to them the correct way. He employs his nephew that is really nice person but he is not certified in home repairs or licensed in no way to do plumbing repairs or an repair for that fact of matter. Do not let his nephew do any repairs to you home his go to tool is silicone i had a water leak he put silicon on it. I had a water leak on my septic tank clean out line where the pipe goes through a poured foundation he filled the hole with silicone and put hydraulic cement on top of the silicon then he put two bags of concrete in the hole around the clean out and filled with silicone. I have a water leak on my back deck his roofing and siding company have been to my home 6 times and the leak is still there I am starting to develop mold in my walls of my brand new home. I have a real bad erosion issue that was not addressed and now I am watching my yard wash don the hill in my yard.Ronnie even celled upset with me because he had to speak to my wife which is also the home owner, no no I would not recommend RG construction in Lagrange Ga.to build anything.

My wife and I purchased a house that was built by Ronnie Gooch in Lagrange, Ga. and this process has been the worst ever. I would recommend to any person who is thinking of purchasing a home built by this man NOT TO DO IT. I regret ever having to do business with Gooch and I would strongly recommend people to steer away from him.
First off: When we began the process, Gooch (I refuse to call him Mr. Gooch due to the disrespectful way he talks to people) assured my wife and I that our lot was going to be cleared in a timely fashion however after a month, our lot still had not been cleared. At the time I thought it was due to weather delays (December 2021) however Gooch informed us that he had a problem with the grader and that he had to get a new one. After further dealings with Gooch, my theory as to the problem was the absolutely unprofessional manner he conducts business. After the lot was graded, an angle was created that creates massive runoff of mud into adjoining residences. We now have erosion on the back yard that I am afraid has created sink holes. There is one part of the back yard that I don't let anyone go close too because I am afraid that it collapse under their weight.
Second: When the house was being built, we asked that the bonus room be configured in such a way that it could be utilized as two offices. Gooch ignored this request and the only way that my wife and I noticed the problem was when we inspected the framing. My wife called Gooch and he was extremely rude to her and hung up on her before addressing the problem. It took our realtor having to contact him to have to problem resolved.
Third: When the house was completed, my wife and I were doing the walk through and she noticed that some rooms and closets were not fully painted. My wife brought this to Gooch's attention and his response to her was "who looks in closets, I am not spending money on paint for a closet" When my wife pressed him on painting the closet, he began to yell at her and told her that he would get in his truck and she would see the back end of his truck pulling out of the driveway. Gooch was yelling to the point to where my wife told him that we pulling out of this deal and that this house can sit. By now I was enraged and informed Gooch that no one was going to speak to my wife in that manner and if he continued he would have a serious problem with me. Bear in mind this took place in front of workers, our realtor and his realtor. I have to assume that his realtor said something to him because she pulled him aside and shortly there after he said he would paint the closets.
Four: After being in the house for four months, we have noticed that hard wood floors are pulling up in multiple places, to the point where we are seeing insultation coming through. I called Gooch and brought this to his attention and he said it was a floating floor and that it happens. I told him that pieces are the floor are breaking off as people walk and that a guest tripped over the floor. He sent his nephew out to "glue" portions down but the floor is still damaged and getting worse. When the floor was discussed again, Gooch got angry with my wife and hung up on her. His nephew appears to be a nice guy however I don't believe that he is certified for home repair. Additionally, when his nephew does come out, he has said to me that he spends most of his time working on projects at Gooch's personal home, like working on his pool or doing landscaping.
Five: By month eight, the ceiling in our master bed room is leaking from some sort of leak. Again, Gooch was contacted and he sent a guy out who said that the roof had been put on poorly and that a hole had developed. The area was near the evacuator pipe in the roof and when the attic was inspected, it was discovered that people that Gooch had hired had driven nails through the evacuator pipe, so when it rains, water goes down the pipe, along the nails and into the ceiling. Gooch refused to fix the pipe and hung up on my wife when she was talking with him.
Six: Month twelve: The ceiling the bedroom is continuing to leak, is bubbling in areas and is discolored. I am afraid that mold has developed in the ceiling and that it will eventually collapse. When I called Gooch about repairing the issue he got angry and said that he was made to look like a fool with people that had come out on the continual roofing problem. Gooch told me that he had to get his blood pressure down before talking to me and hung up the phone.
Again, to reiterate. I strongly and I again say, STRONGLY recommend that people avoid doing business with Ronnie Gooch. He is unprofessional in his dealings with people.
