The owner’s lack of personal communication and hasty dismantling of Roomsmith’s internet presence makes me suspect that he was committing fraud.
The owner Eric Smith is not responding to calls after accepting payment for his preliminary design work. This work was completed up to delivering a proposal drawing, but this payment was to serve as a down payment towards work on my property, as we had agreed. He went as far as assigning me a project manager and scheduling a trades walkthrough, which never occurred. I have had no communication with him or his team for a week after that scheduled meeting until today. The designer assigned to my project confirmed by text that this designer “no longer works for Roomsmith and isn’t sure what’s going on.”
