My experience working with Clyde Ross was an absolute nightmare. For one he has no clue what he is doing. He has no crew, he works with his son and any neighbor or anybody he can grab for the day that can help him. Which all of them have no knowledge. He recently put an addition onto my home just 400 sq feet. It was completely all wrong. The room was off square, he used the cheapest of wood that buckled, The room was bowing out, the roof was completely wrong. In the nutshell the room had to come down and I had to call a new contractor who was excellent knew his stuff to put the room back up. The room is now back up it is very solid it has passed all inspections. Besides the poor workmanship and lack of knowledge that him and whoever he had for the day he hounded me for payments. To this day he has still not paid the electrician that I paid him for and the plumber. They have told me they would never work for him again. I have gone to the Better Business Bureau, lawyers, North Carolina license contractors, and he still practicing construction. He is a thief with no knowledge. I advise anybody not to hire Clyde Ross construction. He took my moneyAnd won’t even make good for it.

We bought our first home this summer using a rehab loan. We had heard of Ross through a friend and he agreed to help Us and do the work. After we closed we were told by him that our renovations wouldn't take too long. They started out by taking our old wood siding off to replace with vinyl. Which took them over a month to do because they would never show up. Then we were told that they would do the vinyl right away. The day they were suppose to start they never showed up and we were left texting and calling him with no response. He was also suppose to scrap and paint the outside windows and instead of that he had his crew only paint the window screens. After confronting him about this he mentioned that he would be too hard to paint the windows. He also was suppose to do a lot of crawl space work......this was never done correctly and he kept making up excuses on why it wasn't getting done. He also backed out of things we agreed to do and his people broke many things in our home while they were trying to take the old wood siding off. We ended up having to have our loan company contact him in order to get anything done. If it wasn't for the loan company.....we wouldn't have had anyone push him to do what he was paid to do. This has been such a disappointment. When they would show up they would leave our yard a mess, leave trash all over the place and would pee in our yard right next to our house.....they peed in the same spot every time that it soaked into the ground and made that side of the house smell awful. I think the lack of communication for me was the worst part. We have a newborn baby and with not knowing when they were coming, what was going to on, cleaning up after them and from him not replying or answering our calls....it made our life missable. In the end, we are spending more money out of pocket to fix the the things that were not done correctly. Also, once the project was done he cut off all communication with us.....we texted and reached out many times asking him to come get his key slot off our door handle and he wouldn't respond. We ended up having to buy a new door handle to get rid of it.
