    Concrete work
    $3,000

I hired them to remove a temporary sidewalk and to put in a small concrete pad and new sidewalk on a new build. There are cracks at the seams, and there is not enough concrete so there are also gaps on the sides of the steps. They also got concrete all over new asphalt. I was told to power wash it...didn't work. Didn't return calls.

Addition and complete renovation of original house.

Rozzo construction took on a huge project for us. We purchased a small house with a severely damaged interior secondary to neglect. Our dream was to gut the house and put an addition on each end. Rozzo Construction met with us and felt our plan could be a reality. Rozzo construction made our dream come true. We now have a beautiful ranch home which was our goal. In addition Rozzo Construction created a semi circular drive into our garage and a beautiful deck in the back. The contractor was friendly and provided some great ideas for our home. Rozzo Construction did a good job for us. He was off a little on his initial estimate.

Rozzo did an amazing job on my bathroom. I wanted to do a lot in a pretty small space. His crew worked it out and gave me everything I asked for. Their work is high quality and beautiful.

    Addition
    $20,000

I had a signed contract on 1/23/19 with a start-date of 3/4/19. Geno was to provide all drawings and permits with boro and install all windows, heating/cooling, hardwood floors, which I was going to provide. Gave Geno a $5k deposit, which he cashed that week. Geno sent me a text message about a week prior to start saying he needed to postpone one month due to “unforeseen issues”. In the meantime, I ordered approx. $5k in building supplies. I texted him on 3/19/19 to find out what the new start date was. Geno TEXTED me the next morning that he was not going to do our job. I was then in contact w/ him over the next three days to obtain our $5k deposit back. Geno kept saying that he wound provide my deposit “as soon as possible”. I gave 3/22/19 as absolute dead-line or I would get legal involved. I also got Buildzoom involved. After not receiving my check in the mail on 3/22/19, I contacted my attorney. He instructed me to file both a civil suit and criminal (fraud) suit if I did not receive my deposit back. I finally received my deposit back today at 3:30, but needed police involvement. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Response from Rozzo Construction March 24, 2019
We had planned to do your job when some unforeseen life events happened in my family. As soon as i found out i was not able to follow through with the job i let you know. And i also told you i would be back in town on Friday the 22nd and would get a check in the mail that day. That wasn’t good enough for you, you demanded a cashiers check. In order to make you happy i went to the bank to get a cashiers check and while i was there i called you and texted you with no answer. Soon after i got a call from the police. And then immediately a call from you. So even though i was in constant contact with you regarding the return of the deposit you unnecessarily involved the police. I did exactly what needed to be done in this situation, i let you know immediately that i could not take the job, and i returned the deposit. I understand this isn’t the ideal situation, but it was the best way to resolve it, by walking away from the job.

Geno and his crew were very friendly and initially responsive. Despite our laying out what we wanted done, they did not have equipment to reach the top of our house. In the end, the problem still persists, but they have stopped responding after taking our money.

    new roof
    $9,500

We hired Rozzo Construction to replace our roof this past summer. After
4 months of an extraordinary amount of rain, and significant wind, its clear the job was well done. We were very pleased that the cost estimate was accurate, and that the work was done in a timely fashion, The crew was exceptionally
nice, and the boss man Geno was incredibly patient answering endless questions.. He was willing to immediately address any concerns, Especially notable was the willingness to do additional work to solve unforeseen problems, in this case, involving the gutters. It's clear that Rozzo Construction people sincerely care about the quality of their work and aim to please. We highly recommend Rozzo Construction and look forward to working with them again.

Remove a rotten entry and rebuild
    $3,100

We hired Rozzo construction to rebuild an entry. They tore off the rotten structure and replaced it with a nice, sided entry. We are very satisfied with the work and the price was reasonable for the job!

    Multi-Room Remodel project

We hired Rozzo Construction to do the following work: paint interior of 1900 square feet house; re-plaster ceiling in 1 room; retile two non-functioning fireplaces; build and install 2 three-shelf sets of floating bookshelves; paint bathroom vanity; and kitchen renovation which included retiling floor, installing new backsplash, countertops, sink, and microwave, painting all cabinetry, and replacing hardware. We supplied all material. It took 4.25 weeks.

    Positives:
-Some of the work was done well, particularly the plastering, floor and fireplace tiling, and countertop/sink installation

-Generally reasonable pricing, which ended up very close to the original quote

    -Started demo work early

    -Workers were super nice

-Geno is easy to get ahold of and responsive

-Geno paid for one of the cabinets that we found we needed to replace

    Negatives:
-Communication: Geno is usually very friendly but also very busy and seemed to have trouble tracking the progress of work on our home. We got the impression that he would tell us what we wanted to hear (that specific work was done, for instance) when he did not really know for sure. On two occasions, he gave us assurance that certain products would fit (a sink, a cabinet) when, once we bought them, it turned out that they did not. Though he was regularly in communication, we came to find that we couldn't always trust what he told us. Though we're aware that there's a lot of unpredictability in this work, we wish he had been more upfront, especially about the things he didn't know or couldn't ensure.

-Reliability: 1.) Geno was not at the house to receive a large delivery when he assured us he or one of his guys would be. We had to reschedule the delivery at the cost of $125. When we discussed this extra cost and read the text exchange in which he promised to be there during the window in which it was actually delivered, he maintained that it was not his fault and said that we would have to speak to the delivery company to address the fee. 2.) We arrived at the house at 9 p.m. (we were not living there at the time) to find the lights on, the front door wide open, and no one there. Geno apologized and told us one of his sub-contractors was responsible.

-Some problematic work: While some things were done well, like the countertop, floor tile, and fireplace tile, other, smaller things were not really done to a high standard. The painting looked great on first inspection, but we later found that they had painted nearly every one of our upstairs windows shut. In the kitchen, there are places where it looks like only one brush stroke of paint made it to the trim. They scratched paint off the cabinets when they installed things like the microwave, but didn't touch them up.

So far so good. Gave me a bid, was ready to do the job the next day. It's 9* outside today, and they are bringing the supplies to get this done. "Crazy huh"?
Like the fact that they can take a serious job, and make it a "fun" experience. I'll update as the 'job' continues as this is like a dream that's to good to be true.

    Outdoor Deck

We decided to build an outdoor attached deck to our townhome, and Rozzo construction was consulted to provide us with plan and build. Mr.Geno Rozzo professionally walked us through the costs, and different plans. Keeping aside usual craziness that comes with such projects, Mr.Gino and his team built us a strong and beautiful deck. The entire project was done well within time and the final product is really beautiful. We are glad we chose Rozzo Construction. The team paced through hot summer days and delivered a high quality product. If you are looking to build a deck, I would highly recommend Rozzo construction for the project. We are very happy with our deck!

kitchen, family room, bathroom, dining room remodel

I am taking a moment to write in reference to Rozzo Construction. Early last year I watched just a little too much Fixer Upper HGTV and bought myself a fixer upper of my own. The inspection showed multiple problems. The work was put out to bid and I was fortunate enough to have come in contact with Rozzo Construction. Mr. Rozzo was thorough and patient in explaining what needed to be done to bring everything up to code and make my home a safe environment for my family at the most reasonable price. The scope of the work was mind-boggling including tearing out termite damaged walls and collapsing floors and the resulting reconstruction of each. Basically, my first floor, kitchen, family, dining room and bathroom was gutted. Geno and his company rebuilt almost the entire first floor, putting up new cabinets, walls, doing tilework, wood floors and a speciality island, doors, installing toilets, sinks...you name it, they re-did it. He offered design tips such as moving a short staircase to enlarge kitchen area which resulted in a tremendous difference in saved space, something I would never have thought about.
Their work is beautiful. We had to work on a budget and were actually able to stay very close to the estimate. The staff was always present for work, punctual and thorough in their jobs, not to mention pleasant. I never worried about any loses or thefts. My real estate agent came by recently to see the work and was so amazed she grabbed before pictures and coupled them with the after pics and sent them out in an email to prospective buyers as an example of what can be done.
I slowly continue to work on my project with Rozzo Construction and I would highly recommend Mr. Geno Rozzo and his firm for your construction needs.
    Good luck on your project!
