Avoid. I have given the owner Robert several large projects over the period of the last 6 years. All of them ended up with a problem. Robert sold and installed a 98% high-efficiency furnace with a 10-year warranty but when the unit failed after 6 years it turned out he forgot to properly register the unit with the manufacturer so we ended up with a 5-year warranty and had to pay out of our pocket. He installed 2 water tanks. One got dropped and damaged slightly during installation and needed replacement after 18 months. Another unit was incorrectly installed and required rework to eliminate water leak. He installed incorrectly humidifiers that had to replaced after 4 years.

R&P did all of the HVAC in my home new construction home over 14 years ago. Over the that time I have had two issues. The first was five or six years ago our AC unit was making an awful noise when we got home from being away for several days with the temperature in the 100*’s. I had called a company that had mailed out a flyer that was sitting on my counter. They informed me the unit was no good and I needed a new one, a very overpriced new one. So I felt a second opinion was needed and remembered the name R&P and called them. The part was a few hundred dollars and we have had no issues since. Yesterday our furnace started making a very loud noise, of course temps in the single digits, so I called R&P. They came out that day and diagnosed the problem. After seeing the stress in my face about the cost the technician took it upon himself himself to speak with the owner about giving us a discount. I would highly recommend R&P for everything from new construction to maintenance and repairs and when the time comes I will definitely be calling them for replacement units.
