1.We signed up with RS Construction of NC, on May 13, 2018, to Develop our lot and Build our home.
2.We were the first customer of RS Construction of NC, Inc and are very unhappy and dissatisfied with the way RS Constructions handled our project.
3.General contractor extended the closing date multiple times and we have to extend the lease on our rental home many times and incurred huge financial losses and we have to close the property without completing the construction and involve a mediator for closing
4.RS Construction of NC, Inc promised to complete the incomplete works and address all punch list items within 30 days and failed to do that
5.We asked for repeated final walkthroughs and the General contractor failed to acknowledge and do the final walkthrough.
6.General contractor failed to respond to our complaints, and we addressed all incomplete works and punch list on our own.
7.We sent 1-year professional inspection report to the General contractor and he does not want to address any critical issues (flashing roof and water seeping into the home through windows) and want to fix cosmetic things like caulking and
8.Despite signing a signed Lien Waiver RS Construction of NC, Inc filed a Lien on our property for the work he claims to be completed
9.General Contractor is using Customer home for marketing and advertising on his website without any written permission.
10.General Contractor did not carry General liability insurance during construction and customer has to pay for General contractor’s liability insurance
11.General Contractor failed to perform due diligence to recognize the condition of the lot, and no mitigation is done to discharge rainwater away from the property which has caused significant soil erosion and customer has incurred significant financial impact
12.Here is an example of how the General Contractor treated us. we brought to his notice that we saw a bunch of beer bottles in the living room during construction and the general contractor's response was to “call 911”.
