By Cyndi C.September 30, 2016Hot Water heater installation$900
My warranty company contacted Rudd Mechanical to replace a hot water heater. The heater broke on Saturday. Rudd called me on Monday and could not come to diagnose the problem until Wednesday. We also scheduled them to come on Friday to install the new heater. They never showed up on Friday. They did not call into the warranty company until Friday when they were supposed to do it on Wednesday. They told me that they were trying to get to a house in Peyton to get a hot water heater from a house that was not being used. They said that they were doing everything they could to get the heater installed. They would even install it on Saturday. Then they called and said that the water heater was at the store and they scheduled an appointment for installation on Monday and then hung up the phone. Service is awful! Would never recommend to anyone.

By D.g.August 4, 2016repair leaky faucet$75
My home warranty company contacted Rudd Mechanical to repair a leaky faucet. They are supposed to contact me within 24 hours. Two weeks later and calls only made by me, an appointment was set. Their repairman came to my house and once he left, I noticed that the leak was a lot worse than before he “repaired” it. I called my home warranty company to have them contact Rudd to come back out to repair their repair. Once again two weeks later and six calls from me and the home warranty company, an appointment was set. I took a day off of work and when they weren’t there at the appointment time I called the Rudd office and was told they cancelled my appointment the day before with the home warranty company. They also informed me that my home was out of their service area. REGARDLESS of their sudden change of service area, they made my leak worse to the point that it floods my kitchen counters and they also collected a $75 service fee on their first visit.
Where is the pride of doing a good job, of doing what you say you are going to do? They came out and did damage to my kitchen but won’t repair it? I would not recommend them to anyone. If you have a home warranty company that recommends them, you can request another vendor.

I am convinced if this company didn't have an agreement through warranty companies, they would have ZERO business. They had to come out 3 times to my home and still didn't fix the issue but put a bandaid on it. They were supposed to come back and just...didn't. Set up another work order, they never called to set up an appointment then I received a "How was Rudd mechanical" email. I then called to let my company know they never came or performed work to where they set me up an appointment through them. Come my appointment time 10am, I had to call at 10:15 asking if they were still coming. They "had a busy morning, got a flat," and said they would be there in the "next 2 hours, maybe more." When I asked for a specific time frame due to arranging someone to be there, they, after 2 calls, said between 2 and 5pm. RIDICULOUS! If possible, avoid company at all cost. I am amazed warranty companies still use them. Probably cheaper due to the work arounds and lack of work they actually DO.
