  I have hired Russell Knichel plumbing for many jobs at two different houses over the past 15 years. They are fair and honest. They do good work. I have never had a billing issue with them. They always explain everything. In fact, if they suspect my issue is something that I can handle, they will instruct me on how to do it myself.

  Called for a leaky shower head and knob. Spoke to him on the phone initially and he told me to take a picture of the knob and send it to the manufacturer to get the part needed. I explained to him that I didn't know what part was needed, and that's why I was calling a plumber. He reluctantly agreed to come take a look, and his son showed up. He looked at the knob, said he saw what was leaking, and said a part needed to be ordered. Didn't take it apart to see what part needed to be ordered, didn't give any further direction. Gave us a bill for $58 for doing nothing and left. Very disappointing. If you don't want the job, don't show up and charge me for nothing. Do NOT recommend. I had another plumber come today and fix it no problem.

  Called Russell Knichel, who lives 1 mile from my house, to repair a drip in my shower and sink. He sent his assistant who spent 1.5 hours repairing the leaks. After he was finished he gave me a bill for $427, charging $144 per hour and a $30 Trip Charge for moving his truck from his last location. In addition, he charged $150 for materials which you can buy at a store for $35. After he completed his work, the drip problem was fixed, but a new problem was created, where you cannot adjust the water temperature in the shower without turning the water off. I wish I could get my $427 back with the drips and be able to adjust the water temperature in my shower

  new hot water heater

  I did not have a good experience with this Plumber - he has a very bad attitude and does not have knowledge of the products he is providing and does like to expalin anything . He also will not break down the bil so customer knows what they are paying for which I find to be unacceptable. I would not use his services again..I would give this customer 0 rating..
