    Remodel kitchen and bathroom
    $57,000

I needed to remodel my house and contracted RVA Custom Kitchen and Bath. They remodeled both kitchen and bath. They were organized and clean. After contacting several companies they were most reasonable. I am satisfied with the work done.

I had RVA Custom Kitchen and Bath remodel a kitchen in my rental property for Section8 tenant. Their prices were very cheap. The cabinets are wood. People would think that I paid twice the amount I paid. This also included formica. I didn't go with the higher price handles or formica. I got glass doors and they delivered those yesterday. They offer much higher priced kitchens, but they also work within your budget. They spent a ton of time with me and made me feel important. I am pleased about the job completed.

Please do not use this company. Kevin is a crook. Items listed on our contract were not completed. We had sub-contractors coming to our house looking for payment. We are not even a year out and we have leaks where the shower was not installed properly and now need to get the shower and ceiling beneath it replaced. This has been a nightmare.

    Bathroom Remodels

Homeowners - please be cautious dealing with Kevin Scotland and RVA Custom Kitchen and Bath. They did work for us - or rather started work for us but after significant delays, obvious lies and intentional deception / misrepresentations we had to step in take over in order to get an acceptable outcome (paying for things we had already paid for but never received). Through the duration of the project Kevin's own employees were quick to tell stories of how Kevin cheated various other employees / suppliers / customers / sub-contractors and sure enough, we soon found that numerous sub-contractors were never paid and that Kevin was refusing to meet / talk with them - sharing a variety of sad-stories which were laughably false as the stories didn't match from one contractor to the next. Even though generally good work was done, with an owner who is unethical and willing to lie and not honor his financial commitments you should stay away - too many other good choices. Discussions with DOPR investigators show a clear pattern with active investigations underway. This applies to Richmond Custom Kitchen and Bath as well as James River Painting - both owned by him. Just ask around and you'll find plenty of suppliers who will share the same story.

There is a website launching shortly that has documentation and commentary from dozens of customers, suppliers and employees to help keep others from being affected by such a low-integrity owner.

    bathroom
    $9,000

As I write this review I am noticing the title says kitchen and bath but there are no mention of "bathroom" options, now I know why!! I do not know where to start with "Kevin S. this job began Jul-5-22, supposed to end Verbally 4 days, contractually 7 days. to this date (Aug 6 22)this job is not finished. we had to end the job, just so we could go in a different direction with him. Kevin has no idea what he is doing, the reviews are a fake! this guy was hiring "Handy Men" to do skilled jobs.He boasted about having a company, its all a front!! Not one person he hired has any professionalism.you never knew what time they were coming or leaving. On 2 occasions people were in our home until 9 pm, there were times when they would arrive at 4 or 5 in the evening. From day one, none of these guys ever thought to put down any floor protection, or any type of protection from saw dust flying all over our bedroom. you get up at night to go to the bathroom and step on nails, caps, and any other debris in the floor. Not one of them carried a broom, vacuum, water, or ladder. I had to personally supply them with these things. I personally had to put plastic in place to keep our home from being covered in dust! they never cleaned up the work area. every day they left a pile of trash (see pic) I am going to try an keep this short so that it can be read. On several occasions they showed up in cars with kids. These kids were used to translate the language. imagine just having a kid sitting around playing on the phone until you need to ask a question. These guys came into my home, broke a water pipe, water damaged the ceiling tile, broke my outside brick pillar light, back over a tree, broke the glass out of the van and left the glass all over the driveway. Kevin S. had some lady to call us and request final payment in the middle of the job. she stated to us that she was told the Job was "complete". "by who?" KEVIN!! during these days I saw Kevin once , when I asked him about his lack of presence in the mist of all the issues going on, he replied " I am an hour away and I cant come that far, in today's technology we just text and send pictures". stay away as far as possible as you possibly can! I am going to make an attempt to up load the pic. I am not going to continue to write but believe me there is a lot more to write. Kevin tries to carry himself as calm and cool, don't be fooled by that "i got this" attitude!! can't figure out how to get these pictures from my phone to the computer but i'll get back. it's all a scam!! someone trying to make big dollars using cheap labor!!
