I don’t know where to start, so I’ll start with the google reviews… .Take a Look at the people who’s given reviews. Pay attention to who has giving 5stars and who’s giving 1 Star. It looks to me like a lot of the staff and family have left good reviews. I also noticed he’s done a lot of stuff for people who live in Miami, Fl. I would guess it’s people his office manager knows, since she’s from Miami, but I also noticed they seem to still live in Miami, Fl. Suspicious..
Be very cautious if you choose S.A. Jones, ask for a list of his subs and talk to them, ask for referrals from people he’s built houses for, talk to the homeowner look at the houses. We were not giving anything he promise originally, there wasn’t any change orders like he promised, they wasn’t an itemized list for the budget with prices, it was all subject to what fit their narrative. Overall It was all very sloppy. There was a lot of excuses and no follow threw. There was a big invoice at the end, with overages that was never mentioned or discussed. Not even a conversation about them. What was supposed to be 9-10 months took 19 months. There was several time where weeks would pass and no one would be work on the house. No attention to detail, it’s possible the worst craftsmanship I’ve ever seen. With the exception of the cabinet guy. Mike Sellers did an awesome job on the cabinets. He’s slow as Christmas, but they are beautiful. I’m 100% ok with being slow as long as it right when it’s done. Thank you Mike.
This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. I have absolutely nothing good to say about the owner of this company or the people trying to run it. “Trying is the 1st step to Failure”
My favorite quote from them… “ You won’t be able to see it when we are done” references trash in my master bathroom grout.
List of issues.. keep in mind the builder never addressed anything until it became an argument, with me refusing to pay. I had to actually hire an Attorney, engineer and home inspector.
Rafters not built right.
Siding improperly installed
Walls paint over Sheetrock dust 3 times, paint peeling off the walls.
Walls to short in kitchen, Had to tear down the stairs and extend everything, 18”
Front door damage, and patched, didn’t want to replace it.
Carpet stained in bedroom, didn’t want to replace it.
Back porch roof changed without notice. Not per drawing.
Light switch, plugs and covers different shades of white that didn’t match.
Driveway cracked the next morning, didn’t want to replace it.
Cedar beams on front and back porch not secure.. and living room.
Back porch holds water.
Live room ceiling out of square an inch and half in a 3 feet space, would not fix the issue.
The list just goes on and on.. Honestly it’s not worth the trouble and headaches to deal with S.A. Jones Construction..
It’s Often referred to as Shady Ass Jones with my experiences.
We close months ago and I still don’t have screens on all the windows. It’s unbelievable
Quote form Home inspectors report..
“In rare instances do we see multiple issues that draw attention to the entire project. This would be one of those situations where we recommend that the client, engineer, and contractor review the plans and ensure that the project was indeed completed to the engineers plans”In conclusion their Ambitions far exceeded their talent. If you want a new remolded house he’s you guy.

Did nothing but drag me along for 2 months on my remodel quote. Sketchy operation at best.

By Dennis D.July 3, 2021Remodel bathroom
I have the same experience as the other reviews. I was told my project would take 3 weeks in January its now July and the bath remodel is still not complete. The company appears professional but my project has been totally mismanaged. Save yourself from the hassle and find a company that will deliver.

Do not hire this person. Promises not kept, shoddy workmanship and a lot of mess left behind. Paint was left on the living room floors and not cleaned up a waste of money. This person is a con-man and will take your money and not complete the work.

So many writing and verbal promises were made by the contractor but he wasn't able to fulfill his commitments even those that he contracted to do in writing. The home was designed to have a turret (round room) which couldn't be done. It was originally built wrong then bulldozed down with a promise to rebuild it correctly. After three months of waiting to see the turret go back up, the contractor informed us he could not build what we wanted. The contract was desolved so the house has become a contractors spec home with no turret. Half a year later we are forced to start all over again from ground zero. We have to find property, find a new builder and start the process all over again. I would highly recommend doing your homework before signing a a contract with SA Jones Construction.

Hired to build 3200 sq. Ft. Home. After 6 months, no completed foundation, partial roof, partial plumbing and electrical. Round room foundation wall built with no horizontal support, just fell over when touched by backhoe, was poured 19 inches too small, contractor error. Did not support load bearing walls until forced by buyer, never identified any errors until buyer pointed them out, always ready with double talk. Best decision was to terminate this contract. Do not sign contract regardless of salesmanship. He does not have a construction crew but hires who he can at the time, i.e. he fired the initial crew but put them back on the job the day after contract was terminated.

Same as all the others except add that he is a bully. Screams a lot. His staff will promise anything he tells them to say. Doesn’t return phone calls. Left unfinished house open to weather for months. Seems like he used my payments to work on other projects and left mine undone for long periods of time. Refused my certified letter asking for final finish work. I mined in and paid off house a year ago and still things not finished
