By Lisa R.August 16, 2021Roofing$10,700
My retired parents hired this crook to install a propanel roof on their manufactured home. While the job was being completed and before final payment Solomon and his crew did a good job; however, once the job was completed it was discovered that one of the skylights is leaking. On four different occasions (after rainstorms), Solomon sent one of his guys out to look at the said skylight and all his worker did was add more silicone. After the torrential downpour Espanola received yesterday (August 3rd) the skylight is STILL LEAKING! I took a video of the leaking skylight and sent that to Solomon along with an explanation stating that the problem was obviously a defective skylight and it should be replaced…I received no response. My father called and left 2 messages, his calls were never returned. I highly recommend you look for someone who is going to follow through once a job has been completed. You may have to pay another roofer more, but at least if you encounter problems, you will not be ignored! I do not recommend!!!

By Ben S.July 4, 2021Concrete slab for basketball court
Awesome, Solomon was very responsive to my requests and delivered on his promises. His work crew was professional and honest. I needed to have a 1200 square foot concrete slab poured for a basketball court. They very responsive, quick turnaround on the delivery of the work as well.Their workers also found an old pair of fencing pliers in the sand and they put some WD-40 on them and gave them to me and advised me that they had found them in the sand. I admire that level of honesty and it shows their values. The concrete work was well done from beginning to end. I would hire them anytime for other projects. I recommend them highly.

Solomon Romero is a criminal. He started working on my project 2 months later than stated in my contract, started work without a permit, damaged my property, refused to answer my calls, emails, texts, and the last time we talked, I had confronted him about the damage he said I would have to pay to fix and he started yelling at me like a psycho, he tried to intimidate me, and he threatened me. He then took off with over $22,000, never to be heard from again. He didn’t even respond to my lawyer or the lawsuit filed against him. Now I know it’s because he’s been sued many times. He was really creepy, stopping by without calling for no reason, outside of business hours, peeking in my windows, and wanting to come in my house and use my bathroom. His license, which only covers roofing and framing, is currently under investigation because of a few complaints received by the state.
He actually had to resign from the police department for stealing. http://www.riograndesun.com/news/cops_courts/former-detective-accused-of-making-shady-deals/article_ed71b0d7-1715-5805-9734-db7eb1dcc074.html
This guy is crazy. Among lawsuits against his construction business are more lawsuits against him for domestic violence, about 3 DUI’s, and excessive use of force from his corrupt days with the PD. Overall, he’s been sued about 20 times! He is a terrible man, do not hire him.
