    I hired Sam to build the shell of my pole barn house. If it was just going to be a barn it would have been fine but it wasn’t. His crew ruined $6000.00 worth of doors by damaging the frames beyond repair and they all leak water when it rains. The garage doors were installed to low and do not seal correctly. He installed the windows in the wrong places. When I tried to contact him his assistance would not let me speak to him. After several months he no longer had an assistant and I actually got ahold of him. I asked him to come and repair the items towards the end of is one year warranty period he initially agreed to do the repairs. He never showed up, so I contacted him again and he threatened to write me more bills to repair his work. At this point I have decided to cut my losses and hire another contractor to rearrange my windows to their proper locations, Remove my doors,replace the frames, and remove the garage doors and reinstall them so they actually seal. If you were to hire Sam I would suggest to hold 10% or more of his fees for a year so you could force him to honor his contract. Or use that money to pay for another contractor to finish his job. Sam is what I refer to as a 90%’er. He will get most of it right but just lacks the apatude to follow through on the details. But that’s most everybody these day.
