The job was scheduled for September 2 and 3. It's now September 10 and work has yet to begin. The last communication Saille's was on Sept. 2 when called to find out why they didn't show up. Very disappointed!

While Saille’s Construction Company has an active license with the California State License Board, the owner is not able to work and allows his unlicensed son-in-law to represent the company and perform work. The son-in-law claimed to be a licensed contractor, but the license belongs to the owner and is not transferrable. I didn’t learn this information until I realized that the son-in-law’s work was shoddy and of poor quality on my garage remodel project. He did not use a stud finder and nailed directly into the 220V electrical conduit for the dryer causing it to not work. After several warnings to pay attention to the wire for the garage door, he accidentally cut it. After purchased rafter beams that were too short, he used the wrong fasteners to join two shorter beams instead of one proper length beam. As the homeowner, I reasonably trusted a licensed contractor to know how to perform this work. After one week of low hours working on the project, unreliable schedule of showing up when promised, and shoddy workmanship, I cancelled the contract. I negotiated with the contractor for a partial reimbursement of my first payment for work not performed and damage done during the project. Upon non-payment from the contractor, I filed and won a small claims judgment for the unpaid, agreed-upon reimbursement.
