By ThomasAugust 2, 2018Fix broken tiles in the pool$500
Catarino Salazar sent one of his subs to my house to fix some broken tiles on my pool. The job took about 2 hours and he charged me $500 even though I supplied the tile. When I told him that the price was outrageous he said if I didn't pay, that he would have the tile ripped out. Please stay away from using this company.

Salazar was referred to us and made a strong first impression. His crew came early & unannounced, helping themselves into our yard without our knowledge (not a good second impression). The work was done very quickly. They filled it right away and gave no instructions other than it was safe to use immediately, avoid any metal objects in the pool & just brush it twice a day for 2-weeks and notify our pool service so they will come add the necessary chem. The bottom color (not diamond-bright) was grey with a couple ornamental tiles laid. The tiles have bled into the plaster and we now have black stripes throughout the pool bottom. The color never cured to the solid grey and has abundant streaks and mass dicoloration throughout the pool. He said he'd come out on numerous occasions but never did and has been completely uncooperative. I would NEVER recommend this person or anyone affiliated with him or his crew. I wish I had read the previous reviews prior to hiring him. He's quick to cash the check and horrible at servicing. Maybe that's why he's an "LLC"....to avoid any liability.

Our Pool builder subcontracted the plaster job to Salazar. We had Upgraded to the Diamondbrite Plaster. After 2 weeks the deep end later started flaking and cracking. Salazar came out and we met him. He agreed that it was a "terrible" job. Said he wasn't able to supervise his employees on the project cause he was out of town on vacation but did talk to them on the phone! lol. He said he would come back and make things right. 2 weeks later our pool builder contacted them for a repair date and he now said he wouldn't fix his mistake. Mistakes do happen....not fixing your mistakes should never happen! Bad person and bad business! You have been warned!

Catarino performed very poor work on my deck and he agreed. He agreed to reimburse me for part of the job and did not comply. He will not answer my calls. He spray deck is unsafe and very sharp due to not troweling it and did not clean my brick coping as promised. He admitted he used a different crew and his words "they really messed my up and would not listen to me on how to finish the concrete". I have plenty of pictures of his terrible work!!

Catarino and his crew prepped my old pool for plaster. They removed the newer layer of plaster, applied a bond coat to the original layer, and put the new plaster in the pool.
They cleaned up their mess. Covered the work area with plastic. Left 2 hoses in the pool with rags on them to stop any erosion of the new plaster.
No problems. Decent work.
