  Retaining walls

  $7,000

  Sam is a thief. He has $7,000 of our money, didn't complete any work, and won't return a penny (or answer emails, phone calls, or texts). We hired him to create a few retaining walls in our backyard. He was unable to complete our job because he injured himself in July. We were extremely patient, through endless confusing texts and delays. The last straw was when he texted me in September saying that he fell off his excavator, lost a tooth, and couldn't do the job. He told me he was going to find someone else to do the job, but that proved unsuccessful. The only "work" he did was to dump an unknown amount of boulders in our yard, best estimate is 15 tons (??) No receipts provided, but he sent us a $5,455 bill. It would be laughable, but he basically has our entire savings right now and I'm just angry. I'll update this review if we ever get our money back.

  WARNING! DO NOT TRUST

  Stay clear from this company. They are highly unethical and will leave you high and dry.

  PROS- Sam will sway you with his knowledge in the industry and he even provides quality work at a great price point. He promises you can use his accounts to get wholesale prices. Come to find out the discounts really aren't that great it may save you a few hundred bucks but not thousands as he claims. The savings are not worth the headache in working with this guy. Don't be fooled!

  CONS- Sam is highly unprofessional, unethical, and his communication is atrocious. He constantly yells and belittles his workers on-site which goes to show why he has so much turnover with his employees which he constantly complains about. He is an extremely and unhealthy individual with a ton of medical problems and will constantly cancel on you because he doesn't feel well. We had to move our sod install date 3 times now which is 2 months later than it should have originally been installed because of his incompetence and sheer lack of communication. His communication and complete lack of accountability is by far the worse I have ever experienced. You have to try and decipher his texts as he cannot put a coherent sentence together, and then he blames you because you didn't understand what he sent you. If you don't call him back within 5-10 min he will push your project back yet it's okay for him to not return your call for hours or days on end. He is full of excuses when literally the night before I was confirming with him exactly what was going to happen the next day when his team would show up and then he didn't show up. When you try and hold him accountable for his actions he will hang up on you because he doesn't want to hear it and that was the final straw for me. I wish I could leave negative star ratings for this guy. I have worked with dozens of contractors and have never had such a terrible experience as this. Good luck to those who work with him!
