Sam's Outdoor Living

I could not put a negative star, so I will only post 1. You will want to read the below before committing to Sam Rosander. After almost a year in the works and less than half of the project completed, Sam terminated our contract. I also know of 2 others who this happened to as well. Our agreement outlined several things and the pool still did not get finished by the time he terminated the contract. Sam would have his subs randomly start work on things and not finish. This was his way of collecting more money. Bad part is, I knew Sam personally and he is still willing to treat me with this way, just think how he treats others. If you look up County records and filings within the public records in Rockwall County and Dallas County you will see that he has had issues before and similar to others but under different company names. Since then I have had to interview 3 other pool companies and landscape companies to come in and finish what he started. Every single person who came by asked what his "plan" was and his process? I wondered the same thing throughout and asked on several occasions in which he had excuses. He was constantly on luxury travel throughout our build (and others) which I hope that he enjoyed because we paid for it. Sam impacted my family not only financially but emotionally throughout the process. What was a dream to have done turned into a nightmare. Do not make the same mistake we did. Throughout the same time he also terminated others contracts. One in fact has a pool with cracks in it now. Sam is a liar and a thief. Rockwall/Heath/Dallas Counties should be aware. Sam also has an office at Southern Roots which he claims to be part owner. Sam presented us with a budget and outline of project which we agreed on and when we were constantly asking why there has not been any movement in weeks/month, he sent me a screen shot of another document which never presented to us. This was in May of 2023 and we initially signed with him in Aug 2022. He will dig a hole in your back yard and begin the process then stop. After multiple calls with others who he has done this too, it's clear that he never has intentions on completing a project but does have intentions on taking your money. His subs also mentioned after the fact that he does not pay his invoices. Please do not make the same mistake we did. For now, I will hold off on attaching text messages and pictures.
