I have known Sandy Charney for over 33 years and have personally hired him several times and he usually works alone or with one carefully chosen carpenter that knows his business. This I know to be true as he is very careful in this department.
Sandy does not take on jobs that he is uncomfortable with. If he knows it then he will do it. I have never hesitated to recommend him to my friends. One friend hired him to build his new two story house on acreage here in Nevada City, CA. and now 15 years or so later the home is still great and the owners love it and appreciated my tip as they saved lots and lots of money.
I am still referring people to him even though now he is in Santa Cruz and I am still in the Grass Valley Area. He has lived in both these areas, but now there is definately more work in Santa Cruz that Nevada County CA. I cannot think of anything negative to say about Sandy so give him a call if you need an experienced contractor. or contact me if you like.
