No I would not recommend this Contractor to anyone. Previous work done here at our home. We have tried on many occasions to contact this company as a Customers from service due to Hurricane Harvey. When contacting by phone, text, and email found many ways to avoid us. The 6 to 8 times answered our calls, out of more than 35 times and text about 15 or more. Lied and never came to fix messy job or had any suggestion on what could be done. A section of the fence (cost 2,425.00) gave half and paid the balance when finished. I did complain after the fact I noticed that part of the fence was not right. His worker Bam fixed it by making it look worst. Our dog can run into the neighbor’s yard. They have small children and we don’t want our dog to have freedom to go into their yard, neither do they. When gave us a quote for the two Patios, we discussed with start the Concrete below the Foundation of the house and Threshold. Wrote up the contract for the Job. Everything was specified and agreed upon. We paid Sanford A. Bell 5,600.00 and gave him half deposit and paid balance when finished. Told us a man who works for him by the name of (Bam Bam) Phillip would be doing the Concrete work. Well Man showed up at our home to do the work, but clarified that we needed to deal with Sanford for prices and payment on the work. He said he did not write contracts for the work nor collected the payments and did not give us a Business card. He never presented himself as a Construction Business owner, he said he worked for Sanford, well the work was started by this Gentleman and another worker. Some days later Sanford A. Bell, Bam Bam, the other worker showed up here at our home to pour Cement. A Cement truck came and the next thing we knew when my husband and I went outside Cement was running into a portable wheel barrel like machine with wheels. Guess who help push this and roll it through the gate Sanford. When doing so seem like he could not control the machine. Because of previous work, said did Construction Jobs for the VA, showed us pictures of some of previous work for other Customers. We gave him credit for being a Professional Company with good Credibility. At that point we stood watching them pour the Concrete into the center of the Patio, not thinking that the Cement would end up to high covering all the foundation of the house, over the Threshold and splashed all over windows, screens, house and ground. While pouring it, we felt ok and went back into the house. Ok after coming back outside hours later we discovered made a mess, the Cement it was too high. I said something but it was too late to redo the Cement. The Concrete was drying. We were about to go on Vacation in a few days. When we told him that, he said it would be good to leave the boards used to outline the Patios Concrete /Cement to dry until we got back, and then you would fix any problems. So we went on and paid the Balance because Sanford made a statement, can we pay me? Because he needed to pay his employees. him or his company did not properly clean up his mess. Then we realized that he took some of our landscaping bricks and used them to roll that machine, broke them up and later we recognized them being Cemented in the dirt. We had to hire someone to get the cement up, because the wasted Cement was so thick. After returning from our Vacation, my husband and I went outside I wondered why him and his workers poured the Cement so high and covered the foundation around the back of the house, and all on top of the Threshold. I did ask him not to do that. I called him to come back out. I asked him why was there yellow, beige, dark grey in the Patios Concrete? him and Bam said it needed to dry and it would be ok, not so. There are also dips and high sections in the Concrete. When he removed the liner boards, the sides of the Patio Concrete were missing Cement, and have some holds and hollow spots. After 2 weeks or so Mr. Hill stepped on the back Patio and the corner cracked all the way across. When we told him there was no real concern. We were lied to, felt we were given a ridiculous answer; like there is nothing wrong with it, what is you talking about, Bam even said I do a lot of Handicap jobs, was not told this wasn’t one. I told him we did not request a Handicap Patio nor do we look Handicap? We are concern more than ever because 3 Construction Companies came out and they all said that it is a bad batch of Cement, not a good job, Will have serious foundation problems later. Not to make mention if it rains the water would settle in the dips until the yard get rain sitting in the grass then it will become an easy access right into the back door.(The Concrete is over the Threshold in the back door). Tore up some of the siding on the back of the house. Tore up a part of a new gutter on the side of our home toward the front side, put dents in the new Gate, and wasted Concrete over sidewalk, curb, and side of the house about 4 to 6.inches thick.
